I, Noelle, Persuade With Reason! [1] & Synopsis

Synopsis: Girls’ Love Transformation!

Alternate titles: “The Laid-back Daily Life of a Max-Level Maid,” “Building a Gundam in Teyvat,” and “Maxed Out Defense Because I’m Scared of Pain.”

---

“Jean, we’re taking your maid to Liyue. Name your price.”
Ningguang fixed her gaze on Jean, speaking with unyielding determination.

“Sorry. She’s not for sale.”
Acting Grand Master Jean calmly unsheathed her Favonius Sword, gently polishing its blade.

Behind Ningguang, Keqing’s brow furrowed as she decisively drew her Skyward Blade. Not to be outdone, Lisa at Jean’s side flipped open her Tome of the Four Winds, a playful glint in her eyes.

And so, the first “war” between Liyue and Mondstadt broke out—recorded in history as the “Noelle Rose War.”

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

The dragon, Dvalin, swept over Mondstadt, stirring up a wild gale that rattled the windows with a clatter.

Hearing the commotion, Noelle turned to glance outside. The dragon’s massive silhouette was already fading into the distance, eventually vanishing behind the clouds as the stormy winds slowly subsided.

The curse on Dvalin is getting worse. I could defeat him, but I can’t purify that toxic blood in his veins. What a shame. Lumine, or maybe Aether—whichever it is, hurry up and get here already.

A sweet face flashed through Noelle’s mind. Back then, he’d even teased Lumine by shouting, “I’m so cute!” It was hard to believe half a month had passed since arriving in this world—and becoming his favorite, the ever-dutiful maid, Noelle.

Fortunately, as his main, Noelle had been max-leveled the moment she arrived.

After crossing over, all her skills, weapons, artifacts, and constellations had come along with her, giving her a real sense of confidence in the deceptively gentle but truly perilous world of Teyvat.

Yet, over these ten-odd days, Lumine still hadn’t appeared. At least Dvalin was keeping his bloodlust in check for now, so Noelle wasn’t in a rush—she could simply wait patiently.

After a brief distraction, Noelle gathered her thoughts and prepared to resume massaging Acting Grand Master Jean’s weary shoulders.

But as she lowered her head, Noelle realized that Jean had also paused her work. Now, she was leaning back, face turned to the side, lost in thought as she gazed at Noelle.

Jean’s figure really is something else, Noelle couldn’t help but sigh inwardly, quickly averting her eyes.

Jean seemed not to notice Noelle’s subtle reaction. She raised her arms in a gentle stretch, then let the back of her head rest lightly in Noelle’s lap, closing her eyes.

“Are you worried about Klee? Dvalin shouldn’t hurt her,” Jean said, noticing the look on Noelle’s face and assuming she was fretting over Klee. Her tone was soft, trying to reassure her.

Though Klee was never in danger herself, she did have a knack for causing it.

Just thinking about the little troublemaker heading out of the city at dawn with her backpack—it’d already been hours—made Jean frown. Maybe a few more fish had died in Cider Lake, maybe another patch of forest had vanished, another cliffside had collapsed… Who knew, maybe someone had even gotten hurt. Jean couldn’t help but worry.

To avoid staring into the abyss, Noelle forced herself to focus on Jean’s face instead. So when she saw Jean frown, Noelle thought maybe she’d pressed too hard during the massage and stopped immediately.

“Sorry, did I hurt you?” Noelle knew her strength, and worried she might’ve been too rough.

“Hm? Not at all. It’s wonderful,” Jean replied, relaxing further. “Noelle, I’m just worried Klee might accidentally hurt someone. Could you… bring her back for me?”

After a moment’s hesitation, Jean finally entrusted the task to Noelle.

Truthfully, Jean had noticed subtle changes in Noelle’s personality. She was still kind and eager to help, but she’d gradually learned to say no, and even started asking to massage Jean’s shoulders on her own. Surely she wouldn’t get herself into trouble by helping others while looking for Klee… right?

Noelle breathed a quiet sigh of relief—at least Jean wasn’t hurt.

“Leave it to me.” Noelle reached up to smooth Jean’s hair. Her golden locks felt silky in her hands.

“Good. Be careful out there. And absolutely no fighting Dvalin on your own!” Jean still looked a bit uneasy, but to help Noelle grow, she resisted the urge to take back her words. After a few more reminders, she watched Noelle leave the office.

Exiting through the main gates of the Knights of Favonius, Noelle instinctively walked to the railing, fully intending to hop over it in one leap.

But when she caught the surprised looks from people nearby, she remembered—this wasn’t a game anymore, but the real world. She’d better take the stairs.

Noelle sheepishly tapped the railing as if checking it for damage, then walked away, eyes fixed straight ahead.

Passing by the Cat’s Tail tavern, Noelle spotted Diona sitting idly on the steps, lost in thought. She gave her a little wave.

“Noelle!” Diona sprang up from the steps. Cat-girls were always so lithe and nimble—she bounded over to Noelle in a flash.

Noelle crouched down, taking Diona’s little hands in hers and gently tracing the soft pink pads of her palms with her fingertips. It felt delightful.

Diona squinted, ears twitching, tail swaying in the air behind her.

“Were you waiting for me?” Noelle freed a hand to ruffle Diona’s ears and hair, smiling.

“N-No, I wasn’t waiting for you! I just happened to be on break, that’s all! Ah, Noelle, you’re doing it again!”

Diona’s cheeks flushed pink. She put her hands on her hips, pretending to be angry.

Suddenly, she realized Noelle was teasing her—again. Lately, every time they met, Noelle would ask that same question, and every time Diona would fall for it. So annoying!

She’s just too cute to resist… “Alright, my bad. As an apology, how about I bring you a fish later? I’m heading out of the city—do you want me to bring anything for your dad?”

Playing with this little kitten was just too much fun. Noelle’s apology came with a bright, unrepentant smile, but it successfully distracted Diona.

Diona thought for a second, eyes darting mischievously. She glanced around, then leaned in close and whispered, “Can you check if Dad’s been sneaking any drinks for me?”

Trying to ignore the ticklish sensation in her ear, Noelle nodded, agreeing to help.

Just then, the tavern owner, Margaret, called out—Diona had been caught slacking off.

“Noelle, I have to get back to work. Don’t forget, okay?” Diona dashed back inside, nimble as ever, tossing one last reminder over her shoulder before disappearing through the door.

“Go on, I’ll see you later.” Noelle waved goodbye and headed out the city gates.

On the bridge, Timmie was still feeding his pigeons. As Noelle passed by, the flock flapped their wings and scattered.

Timmie looked up at her in silence, eyes blank as he waited for the birds to return.

This world is full of tragedies, but Timmie stands out in my mind—he was, after all, the very first to ‘stab’ me when I arrived in Teyvat.

Noelle lingered a moment, but Timmie didn’t react. So, she moved on.

Although Mondstadt wasn’t huge, finding Klee was never an easy task.

Luckily, wherever Klee went, she left chaos in her wake. Noelle planned to ask around—especially the hunters of Springvale, who knew the surrounding area well.

After crossing the bridge, Noelle ran into Lynn, the wilderness survival expert.

Lynn invited Noelle to a cooking contest, but Noelle politely declined. After some small talk, she learned that Klee had headed toward Springvale that morning. Beyond that were Dawn Winery, Wolvendom, and Stormterror’s Lair.

She’s probably gone to play with Razor… Come to think of it, I’ve never visited the Wolf of the North before. I wonder if he’d welcome me.

Noelle bid Lynn farewell and set out for Springvale.

But she hadn’t gone far before a group of hilichurls blocked her path at a fork in the road.

Three of them were dancing around a campfire; two more lay in the middle of the road, fast asleep, and another was stealthily munching on something.

Noelle quietly crept up behind the snacking hilichurl, tapped him on the shoulder, and said softly:

“Olah!”
