It's from the filler arc that took place right after the Pain Arc. You actually reacted to the episode the Ostrich was from, but you only watched the canon part. It was attached to episode 181 where Inari and Tazuna ask Naruto where Sasuke was and Naruto has that big speech about revenge. The Ostrich appeared twice in that arc in episode 185 as well so it's his 3rd appearance in this series.

There are over 1.7 billion practitioners of Hinduism, Buddhism and Jainism in the world today. The swastike remains a primary religions symbol to them and its secondary associated with the German Socialists who caused WW2 being the rest of the worlds main thought about it from what I understand ticks them off when they find out that we keep empowering this as a symbol of WW2 era German Socialists. Funny enough, before that assholes in Germany fucked it up, even in Europe the Swastika was a pagan derived supernatural symbol of good luck. And its now tainted because we let German Socialist propaganda take over our concept of it.
