2021-09-01 06:19:09 +0000 UTCYou don't need the MS to use izanami or izanagi. Danzo does it like 11 times with normal sharingan. Nobody ever says that. Tobi does say that Hashirama cells would prolong the izanagi, and that is why Danzo was checking how long his eyes were lasting all the time.

And so did Itachi's father, Fugaku Uchiha. I believe what Itachi meant was that Sasuke would be the third person alive, because he killed Fugaku, and so only Itachi, Madara and Sasuke, if he awakened, would have the MS.
