I'm just catching up. I know the search seems to drag a little, but since you're a few episodes ahead by the time I write this, I've been waiting to point out something that relates to the point we're at in the story. Earlier, you were understandably critiquing Luffy's getting stuck again in this arc, as he often did before, to get him out of the way. But what I like about this time around is how getting stuck, as with Zoro, narratively represents their state of mind (and the crew's). It also relates to Nami's speech about uncertainty over Robin's betrayal and how it acts like a blocker for them in this case.

2024-06-19 23:29:32 +0000 UTCHello Boldcast hope you read this post, upcoming there is a opening with a very small window of opportunity to watch (eps 264-278) You definitely want to skip this opening up till episode 277 which means you will be able to watch it on ep 278. This will be the last time you will have to skip openings for a good while, as the next several openings you can watch in chronological order.

2024-06-19 22:53:54 +0000 UTCI started catching up to One Piece during Alabasta Arc, I remember in Skypiea Arc many One Piece watchers dropped One Piece (One Piece had another surge of new viewers during the MF *you know what arc* though)...it is very dragged out, thank god we will be getting a One Piece remake and I'm guessing they will fix the pacing issues and only put in canon material in it...one hope I have is they do is they animate the fights better to fit modern tastes and include cover stories and other canon materials that was put in the movies. I do hope Oda just go ahead and accept G8 as canon lol, it's honestly a way better transition from Skypiea to the next arc and it adds to Robin's interactions with the crew, same as showing Merry's accumulated damage.

2024-06-19 22:45:33 +0000 UTCActually kind of impressive by Toei that this saga does not lose too much of its steam, besides a few exceptions like this episode, because ever since Skypiea ended it has been only 1 chapter per ep since the anime has been constantly only 30 chapters away from catching up.

I can just imagine a member walking passed his room before the mission and just seeing him practicing his dopey ass ventriloquism. And then just wondering if that's really necessary, cuz seriously what was up with the pigeon thing??? Did he already have a pigeon and wanna involve him (since he seems to like dressing hatori up in matching outfits). Or did he get a pigeon soley for this act and got attached to the pigeon??? Question that need answers...
