2023-01-25 09:24:50 +0000 UTC"She looks like a dream come true..." Again, almost peed myself laughing. In the book, they show Harry's internal struggle with not getting angry at Marge. It makes the whole thing so much more agonizing. On the nightbus, the little talking head isn't there. It's one of those things I'd wished was in the book because that head's hilarious. Out of all the kids, I think that Tom Felton is the best actor. I'm really sorry he hasn't been in a bunch more stuff. I might get hate for it too, but even though I think Rupert Grint isn't bad, I don't think the trio are will ever be at the caliber of the adult actors they worked with in the franchise. This movie was a lot less stuffy than the first two. Non-magic things like the choir and the boys just goofing off in the dorm were great additions. Not to mention taking them out of their uniforms except during school hours, and that the uniforms are not always pristine. The book described Trelawny as reminded Harry of a glittering insect. Emma Thompson does a fantastic performance. Also in the book, McGonagall also mentions that Professor Trelawny predicts the death of a student every single year. You get the feeling that like Lockhart, the faculty don't think much of divination or Trelawny. Clowns are friggin' terrifying and horrible. I don't know if someone mentioned this yet. In the great hall sleeping scene, Daniel had asked for his sleeping bag to be put next to this girl he was crushing on. Alan Rickman and Michael Gambon decided to play a prank and slipped a fart noise machine into his sleeping bag. Gambon had the remote control. It was hilarious. Magic makes their lives so much easier, but it's kept some of them really far behind. No e-mail. No-computers. No Internet. Books and letters by owl. No ball-point pens. Quills and ink. No electricity. Candles and lanterns. The only time you see elevators is in later movies at the Ministry of Magic. In the book, Hermione was up all hours of the day and night doing research to help Hagrid with Buckbeak's trial. It was so sweet. And I gotta say, you got that whole Peter's the rat thing SO fast. When I was reading the book I didn't get it until it was revealed. I know a bunch of people have already said the map was made by James Potter and his friends. The fact that it wasn't mentioned was one of the most disappointing parts of this movie for me. There wasn't even the slightest bit of hint, like Sirius calling Lupin Mooney or Lupin calling him Padfoot. It was such a great detail I was disappointed was left out and it would've taken almost no time to put it in. I absolutely love Gary Oldman. He's such an amazing actor, always disappearing into his roles. What is further explained in the book is that the Shrieking Shack was where Lupin would transform when he was at Hogwarts as a kid. The Whomping Willow was planted to guard the tunnel. Sirius, James, and Peter found out he was a werewolf and would go with him on the nights he changed. They'd also foolishly take him out roaming on the grounds and the forest. After he left school, the Wolfsbane potion was invented which allows Lupin to retain his mind during his transformations. Now when he changes, he just sits around in his office. Animagi have to register themselves with the Ministry of Magic, their names and what they can change into, but James, Sirius, and Peter never did. They managed to do the entire thing in secret right under Dumbledore's nose. I loved the way Snape throws himself in front of the kids, and puts himself between them and the werewolf. Its the only glimpse you see of who he truly is. Again, I'm sorry for the novel. It's going to sound really pathetic for me to say, but when I watch your reaction videos I feel like I've got company with me for my own rewatch... but someone who isn't here so they won't be bothered by my horrible habit of talking during movies and shows I've already seen.
