MCU reactions

When it comes to MCU movies what would you say are MUSTS for youtube reactions and what could be skipped and just put on Patreon ?

With the disappointing numbers for my Iron Man 3 reaction (on youtube) I am a little wary when it comes to dedicating several hours for a so so response. Dont worry - every movie will be watched in release order - just looking for opinions and feedback ! 💜

i mean its Iron man 3 ... xD not relly something out of the MCU i woud run down to watch on the sofa xD

Karsten Hase

I’d say just do the Avengers movies on youtube + Captain America Civil War which is basically an Avengers movie. These movies are kind of highlights or finales of each phase and would let people know you are doing the MCU and to check out Patreon if they want the movies about individuals

Meaning, post the poll on one YT channel and mention the poll on your other channel and you may get people to subscribe to both! :)

Elyssa Kerlin

Send you over ? Im confused lol

Travis Manning

If you do the poll on both Tea Time and send us over from Travis Views maybe you'll suck people into your other channel, too!

Darsy Smith

Maybe try a YouTube poll too before you commit so much time and energy to the next Marvel reaction to gauge interest from those who are subscribed.

The series (the ones released exclusively on Disney +) should be watched after Phase III, which ends with Spider-Man: Far From Home. Heidi did a very good job listing the series. The only thing I see missing from the list is Ms. Marvel which would go in between Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness and Thor: Love and Thunder. I also agree with her about Phase IV being underwhelming thus far. Each of the series has been OK for a variety of reasons. My favorite movies in Phase IV, so far, are Shang-Chi and Spider-Man: No Way Home. If you want to watch Agents of SHIELD, many will tell you to watch season 1 before Captain America: Winter Soldier, but it's not really necessary to do that. I would say to just keep in mind when each season came out. I will say that the movies definitely affect Agents of SHIELD, but the show does not affect the movies at all

Skip for YouTube: Thor The Dark World Ant-Man Doctor Strange Ant-Man and the Wasp Black Widow

Phase Four Release Order (So far...) 1) WandaVision (Series) 2) The Falcon and the Winter Soldier (Series) 3) Loki (Series) 4) Black Widow (Movie) 5) What If...? (Cartoon Series) 6) Shang-Chi: The Legend of the Ten Rings (Movie) 7) The Eternals (Movie) 8) Hawkeye (Series) 9) Spider-Man: No Way Home (Movie) 10) Doctor Strange: In the Multiverse of Madness (Movie) 11) Thor: Love and Thunder (Movie) I hope this helps!

I can send you a complete list. But for now... all of the series should be watched once you get to phase four, after Spider-Man: Far From Home.

Heidi Elizabeth Marcum

Ive been wondering about when to start the series ? Is there a list out there that shows when they should be watched?

Travis Manning

Phase Four has been a big disappointment for me. Black Widow and Spider-Man: No Way Home are the only two good movies within this phase so far, and that are worth watching. All the rest of the movies in Phase Four are pretty terrible. At least in my opinion. And as as far as the Marvel series are concerned... I only like The Falcon and the Winter Solider and Hawkeye, and both of them have some flaws I don't care much for. In spite of my love for these characters... I hated WandaVision and Loki. They are pretty terrible. Heidi

Heidi Elizabeth Marcum

Lol !

Travis Manning

Yeah honestly there's a string of really good movies with fan-favorite things that happen we want to see you react to coming up... after Dark World, lmao. I think if you were demoralized from IM3 then don't worry about the fact that the film just came out, don't spend the time gambling on a bump in response. ((Eternals is another one that's NOT worth it haha))

Darsy Smith

Cant be fatigue for ST because the reactions PRIOR to the season flopped as they did DURING AND AFTER. lol sooooooo. ST just doesnt seem to work for me on youtube 🤷🏻‍♂️

Travis Manning

Yeah, I get that. Unfortunately, YouTube is all about what's trending, which is probably why your Stranger Things reactions weren't getting much traction on YouTube. Since Season 4 Volume 2 of Stranger Things ended fairly recently, a lot of people are experiencing Stranger Things fatigue, especially with the earlier seasons. And then there's stuff like The Boys which is very hard to put on YouTube for a number of reasons: it's hard to edit reactions to it due to all the crazy stuff you have to take out and because it's a very niche audience. With the MCU, people will mostly be looking for the mainstays (Avengers, Spider-Man, Captain America, etc.). Either way, reactions on YouTube can be a very frustrating thing for reactors! Try not to let drive you too crazy

I went to go see Thor: Love and Thunder in theaters, and I walked out after forty minutes. I hated everything about it, so I do not recommend that anyone see it.

Heidi Elizabeth Marcum

I understand what you mean very well, Travis.

Heidi Elizabeth Marcum

When you spend 8-10 hours or more on something and it gets a tenth of the views as other things its pretty disheartening.

Travis Manning

My thing is though if i have back to back flops (iron man 3 and thor dark world) im going to be veeeeeeeeeery cautious and uninterested in spending the time on youtube edits in the future.

Travis Manning

The only reason to put Thor: the Dark World on YouTube is because Thor: Love and Thunder is in theaters now. However, most fans think Thor: the Dark World is one of the worst in the MCU, so that should also inform your decision Travis. You should definitely post Thor: Ragnarok on YouTube, though, even though it'll be way past the release window of Thor: Love and Thunder by the time you get to it. Thor: Ragnarok is a well-beloved film in the MCU, so it should do well either way

Ilsuk Yang

Exactly!! Thank you, Travis!! :) Sincerely, Heidi

Heidi Elizabeth Marcum

Well luckily youll still see the reaction for it ! Lol

Travis Manning

I enjoy Thor: the Dark World. To me... it's fun. It's just not one of my favorites, and I know that a lot of people really don't like it much. Heidi

Heidi Elizabeth Marcum

Captain America 2 & 3, any Avengers movies, Spider-Man movies, Guardians of the Galaxy, Thor: Ragnarok. Most movies will get a boost on YouTube if a sequel is coming out (or is already out) in theaters. For instance, Thor: Love and Thunder is out in theaters right now, so reactions to Thor: the Dark World and Thor: Ragnarok should be doing better than they normally do. Also, once a movie comes out on Disney + (I'd imagine Thor: Love and Thunder will come to Disney + in a month or two), that would generally be another good time for reactions. I should also say that the closer to the release date (theater or Disney +), the more views you should get

Ilsuk Yang

So i def think ill be skipping a yt edit for Thor The Dark World then. Lolol

Travis Manning

The best Marvel movies that deserve to also be put on YouTube... 1) Captain America: The Winter Soldier 2) Guardians of the Galaxy 3) Avengers: Age of Ultron 4) Ant-Man 5) Captain America: Civil War 6) Doctor Strange 7) Thor: Ragnarok 8) Black Panther 9) Avengers: Infinity War 10) Ant-Man and the Wasp 11) Avengers: Endgame 12) Spider-Man: Far From Home 13) Black Widow 14) Spider-Man: No Way Home I hope this helps. :) Sincerely, Heidi

Heidi Elizabeth Marcum
