I enjoy this episode for the realization that Cordelia indeed does have layers and isn't just the stereotypical "mean girl" here for comic relief... but it's definitely not a favorite for me. I have a spreadsheet where I've done a 1-10 ranking for how much enjoy every episode of Buffy and the spin-off (well, most episodes - some I need to rewatch before I decide) and this one I'd put at a 6 out of 10 - there are a few I like less, but 6 season 1 episodes that I've ranked higher. I can't wait for you to finish this season and get to S2, where the budget increased and the show really came into its own.
