Before my mom went to rehab, I was the mother to my younger sister because my mom frequently passed out on the couch from whatever she took that day. There were even a few times I had to call an ambulance because she was unconscious. I completely understand where she was coming from. It's hard, basically, growing up on your own. If I didn't have to be strong for my sister, I don't know what I would have done. She is six years younger than me. She was my anchor.
