5.2 - Downhill From Here

So there's good news and bad news, but really everything was a learning experience it's all good news, right? Right?
Development Status
The bad news is that these new interactive stamina driven events I'm adding to the game are a BEAST to code. Like, 2-3+ days for a single scene, and I put 3 of them in 5.2. What's more is that if I wanted to, I could spend even longer on each one of them, taking into account every single, possible action and variance of said action a player might want to take! To me, that just means these scenes will be ripe for expansion in the future. So yeah, the bad news is just that I underestimated the amount of work that would be involved in these scenes... and that 5.3 will have me writing one for each other main character...
The GOOD news is that I've finished all of those scenes for Mom in patch 5.2! What this means is that all the mechanics for the patch are snugly in place, and the lion's share of the coding is in my rear view mirror! So, now I get to focus 100% on content, content, content. Right now, that means random events. Here's a preview!

I'm having a lot of fun writing these events, and I hope you all will enjoy experiencing them. The contest winner events will be making it in this update as well, and I'm looking forward to getting started on them!
Aside from that, I'll also be updating the existing dynamic events, such as morning coffee, breakfast in the kitchen, family living room time, and mom's bedroom activity.
As it is, and I know I'll regret this but I'm just that confidant, 5.2 is on track for a January release! Most likely, due to the fact that the new mechanics will be focused solely on one character, 5.2 will remain a Patreon-exclusive update, with the following update seeing a timed public release.

Artwork Update
So, artwork... I know a lot of people are concerned about the idea of 2D artwork in the game, so I want to make sure I keep everyone up to speed on things.
As it is, I've contacted and commissioned a few different artists, and one in particular has just blown away the competition. I just couldn't be happier with what's being produced by this person, and I can't wait to start sharing it! Even still, I know that 2D art just won't suit everyone's tastes, which is why I'm still adding copious amounts of GIF media to the game, and will continue to do so. 5.2 will see the addition of Image Pack 3, which currently sits at 44 images and will continue to grow!
With the way things are moving, I would expect an art preview next week, so please look forward to that.

Hey there! So the dream sequences are of course coming, they just haven't been implemented yet. This is because I prefer to add dreams through dynamic (fixed) events, rather than through random or interactive events. Once I move into writing and updating the dynamic events, you'll start to see new dreams added! So you think the collar should have a value associated to it that tracks how effective it's become on the wearer? I thought about that, but ultimately decided to go with something easier to implement at the cost of depth. I think the collar's a lot of fun, even if it doesn't have its own mechanic surrounding it. Going that route would require a lot of checks in scenes that already have A LOT of checks. That said, there will be some custom art associated with the collar that will start to slightly alter her appearance after she's been wearing it for a certain amount of time, so you'll have that bit of reflection. We're just not quite there yet :)

2018-01-12 02:06:46 +0000 UTCI would like to say a few things first I think that you need to add some dream sequences with Ava based on how the player interacts with her so that if you have had sex with her you dream about it, second I think that you should consider a second line of progress on the cat collar so that the order you give them takes that item into consideration you may want to add a stat to showcase how they are progressing due to that item.
