5.2 - Updates, Updates, Updates!

Greetings all! Let's just jump right in!

5.2 Progress and Enhancements

Development of 5.2 is moving along nicely. All the interactive scenes have been finished, as have most of the new random events. Existing content is also being updated to reflect new serum levels. When all is said and done, the home experience should feel a lot more complete, with plenty of options and interactions between you and your family.

Additionally, while the main directive of this update is written content, I've managed to fit in some meaningful enhancements to the game as well.

First, achievements have been added to the game as a way of increasing your maximum stamina. I've added the stamina reward on to the easier to get achievements, though many without rewards are being added for doing some of the more difficult or obscure things in the game as well.

Second, the transformation system has received another pass. Weird issues involving nonsensical transformations (becoming a sissy then randomly shooting into a shemale the next day...) should be resolved now. The communication when the player has become a permanent sissy or bimbo should be clearer, and the TF experience in general should be a lot smoother.

To compliment that, players can now identify as Trans, allowing them to better maintain a trans or shemale state. The Bathroom has been added to your home, where you can change your gender identity, pronoun set, and apply or remove makeup. Makeup works like clothing, and can have an effect on your transformation depending on your current gender.

5.2 will also see the The Company dip its little toe into some of Wandrer's other mythology via the intrepid (indifferent?) sex shop saleswoman, Ash. For a few thousand bucks you'll be able to take home one of her more exotic items that she claims will have some... interesting effects on whoever you give them to.

This is how I plan on handling more "specific" physical and mental transformations, as I'd rather relegate use of TFM-1 to story events, as I feel it makes more sense there. Regardless, this will open the door to many cool events and effects. Expect Ash to have a more involved side-story at some point as well!

And an Art Update!

I'm really happy about how well received the art preview was last week, and I'm excited to share more with you. Today! Like I said last week, these renders are not meant to be exact replicas of their real life counterparts, and this next model is a prime example.

Penny's expression set will also include new arm positions as well, something all characters will receive at some point or another. While Penny Pax is one of my all time favorite actresses, I believe this rendition does a much better job of personifying our favorite peppy lab assistant.

Now, art creation is one thing, but art utilization is another thing entirely...

When you're making a visual novel, it's kind of a no-brainer. You have a background, and you have characters on top it. Text scrolls continuous at the bottom of the screen. In an HTML game, especially one with so much vertical scrolling, it's not quite as simple. After a lot of back and forth, and tweaking of my new scene-building functions, I'd like to finally share the first pass at how these images will look in-game.

The text here is part of my test-bed, so disregard the shit dialogue.

With this setup, the figures appear to "pop off" the room, which now fades into the background, rather than trying to look like they're a part of them. I think it's a good effect that fits well in the engine, and is likely the way I'll go. You can also see a couple of Sophie's additional expressions here, which will see be able to be reflected in the text boxes!

Once the busts for all the characters are complete, I'll likely release a test version of the game that uses them so people can see everything in action. That's still a few weeks away, though.

Looking Forward

5.2 is still set for a January release, barring any major catastrophes. Over the coming weeks you should expect to see previews for Ava and Dakota's new art as well.

Additionally, for those who really dig the new art direction, I've added a new $15 patron tier which, in addition to everything in the $5 and $10 tiers, includes early access to see concept and in-progress art as it's being developed.

Ugh 10X this! Please add some variety to the body shape, size etc. Those two(Penny and Sophie) look way to similar IMHO.

Still liking the art, and the manner in which you intend to lay out the scenes visually. May I suggest having some characters with different body types, such as slim, flatter chest, etc.? Regardless, I appreciate the art not devolving into so much else I see online with these games, women with freakishly large boobs, etc.

I was thinking that Ava with a dick could enter some sort of bizarre husband and wife relationship with a submissive PC once the PC carrying Ava's child. Especially if there's a sissy PC carrying her child. Sick, yet funny is what all the best smut is. I would be disappointed if Ava's dick is off the table. (insert mental image of Ava sneaking her huge happy stick off a table)

Being able to identify as male, sissy, trans, shemale, female and bimbo would be great from a plot standpoint. It will complicate your writing a little but add tremendous depth to interactions in the game. Here's my thought of TFS: The single, eternal dose of TFS the PC gets has two problems. It makes no sense from a plot (or biological) standpoint and it will never work "the way the player wants" as long as there is an endless slide from one state to the next based on some criteria that almost makes sense right now but won't next patch. You're either going to wind up with more criteria for TF or you'll end up adding more mechanics to lock the PC into a TF state. Both are obfuscous and unnecessarily complicated. One dose per TF makes way more sense. That also opens up situations where NPCs get access to TFS to mess with one another and to mess with the PC. I'm not saying, I'm just saying.

i see what you are trying to do with the sex shop their, its the mental change we want but without the side affect of what happens to the sister if we go to far. plus since their toys you can do more then one at a time. also a suggestion for the art test game have the gif images still work for the interaction, notbook and sex scenes it will help you keep the modeling simple and easy so as to have a base foundry of models but withought the need for the full gong hoe or missing pics

Penny here gives me much more hope for this artist than Sophie did. Everything I disliked about Sophie is either toned down or fixed here. Her coloring is MUCH better, and the her lines no longer feel fuzzy and unfinished. Best of all her hands look great, and even though the pose is a bit awkard, she's an awkward gal so it works.

Exciting news and I love the new Penny artwork. I agree, that Penny Pax is just so darned cute and the new art does a nice job of capturing that cuteness, plus, it keeps her red hair, which I preferred. Saving TFM-1 for story events makes sense since you already have the "exotic" items from the adult shop. And it makes more sense to use the strap-on for the scene I suggested, plus the scene can possibly come earlier. Since so many, including my own, suggestions, plus fucking activities with Ava can result in pregnancy, I am assuming in later updates, new artwork might possibly reflect a progression in those states as well. But back to the message at hand. I love what you are doing, thank you for the updates.
