Dragoncon Day One

Hiii!

Chronicling my adventures at Dragoncon because if I don’t write something my brain will explode!

This morning, me and birbmom went to get our badges at 0930=ish, because I like waiting in lines! But unfortunately, the line moved really fast. Still, got our badges, and I got to hang out with Void Herald and Madix and Draith! I hadn’t really met Draith yet, so that was cool!

I, uh, have only read one of his fics. He is doing a time-loop thing too, so that’s neat!

Then we kinda split up. Me, birbmom and Draith went to the Coka Cola museum because... well, it’s right there? Cool place. Very dystopian and lowkey kinda creepy vibes. I dig it. 7/10, would go again, but be sure to bring your own Draith for funny commentary. 

We went back to the Westin, where all the cool authors hang out by the bar. I met some guy called Greg, who’s not an author but who was cool, and an RR newbie called Reck who was also cool! We talked for like, a solid hour.

Melas showed up too! I hugged him, and Traitorman and Meg were around as well!

Then I got distracted by this woman called Cherrie. She was painting the stickers for her kickstarter with watercolours, and it was neat! Lots of small mushroom monsters. She was nice! 

Then Draith and I and Necarin (the dude who wrote Unbound!) talked for a while... mostly talked shit about RR and stuff. 

Then UraniumPheonix appeared, and he was superchill. Got to talk to him about timeloops and how we’ve both messed up story beats and stuff, and yeah.

Okay. I’m in my hotel room atm because I am a bit overwhelmed and need a nap. We’ve got karaoke arranged by Nixia in like... a while from now, so I’m mentally preparing for that.
