Sketches & Completed Raffle Piece

I'm really happy with how the pose for the completed piece turned out. Making a hand part of the focal point of the image was a challenge because I had to make sure it looked nice. The tongue shape was really fun!!

Here, the sketches are in more of what I call a "pose planning" stage. I usually do another sketch on top of these before lining (which is what you usually see). These are much more scribbly and loose! This stage is the one that takes the most thinking for me.

Why:

- compositional planning (if you make the image small, the "thumbnail" needs to look nice
- proportion, anatomy, material, and pose planning
- redrawing poses to fit a theme/idea better

- lol hands hard
