I’m sure many can relate, but I don’t have a lot of people in my life that share the same passion I do for film and tv so it is cathartic and comforting to be able to see & talk with people that share that same passion. On a more serious note, I kept my sub after HOTD ended, as I have found the reactions very helpful with my own life. Not tmi, but I have a pain condition, isolates me a lot, so watch-a-longs sillily feel a bit like you are watching with other people — so when my friends can’t, it’s genuinely a supportive mental health escape.
