So, after searching for some time online I still didn't find anything more concrete about possible limitations of the Sling Ring like distance or size of the portal. It seems as long as you can imagine it, it's possible.

Maybe some of you have a more precise understand and can help me out with that.

Well, now to the poll.

Personally, I don't like time-travel abilities, as they just seem so incredibly risky. The movie Butterfly Effect tried to warn us, but most just ignore it and than the Avengers happened and practically declared 'I don't give a f*ck anymore!', so I wanted your opinion.

How I understand it is that it's basically impossible to change your own past. Everytime you travel back in time and change something, what you actually do is traveling to a parallel timeline you 'created' by going back in time and changing things, not your original timeline.

So doesn't that mean that if shit happens, you are f*cked either way and the only thing you do is create more problems by trying to solve it?

I mean the whole paradox is that you can't go back in time to change something, because that would mean through the butterfly effect you would change so much that your own action to travel back in time probably wouldn't happen.

That basically means your original timeline has to be fixed to enabel you to travel in time at all. So at the end, I just think what's the point of time traveling then, if you can't change anything?

Also the risk of making everything way worse is very real, as the butterfly effect is unpredictable. Personally, I just want nothing to do with such a power and much rather live in a fixed timeline.

So what's your opinion on time-travel?
