Unfortunately most of what they earth queen says is mirrored in the real world. The U.S. has a draft(not active but all 18 year old males have to sign up) and many other countries still have conscription for every male.

Add in that one emotional moment with Tenzin finally starting to achieve his lifelong dream and you have one of the better episodes in all of LOK. I was looking forward to this episode and Nat's reaction to it.
