2023-12-16 00:06:24 +0000 UTCThe final battle in the last episode is SO WELL DONE!! I studied it in my animation course, it combined 2D and 3D elements and it is so dynamic and expressive. One of the best animated fights.

2023-10-03 09:24:25 +0000 UTCI still believe you should react to Legend of Vox Machina, an awesome animated show on Prime Video. I think you will really enjoy it.

2023-10-01 15:10:15 +0000 UTCHoly shiiiiiiiiit!! This episode got to me! At the end I was in tears because of them. Such a great finale to the season. :) I'm looking forward to the final one.

2023-10-01 07:31:07 +0000 UTCUnfortunately, he hasn't released an official sound track except for season 1 of Korra so you have to do covers from guys like Samuel Kim
Wyatt Berlener
2023-10-01 00:05:47 +0000 UTCThe song at the end is called 'Service and Sacrifice' and its sooo good! Samuel Kim has an awesome cover on Spotify that sounds just like the show. He has lots of good ATLA and TLOK covers aswell!

2023-10-01 00:04:02 +0000 UTCCan we talk about how that sequence where she slams Zaheer down with the chain feels like a direct homage to Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance.? Not a movie I love, but that shot goes super hard so I don't blame the animators for riffing on it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MaWbB6948EA&ab_channel=TheSmokingSkull Also, I know nickelodeon was squeamish about killing characters on screen, but it kind of stinks that they pretended he was okay after that. They didn't have any qualms about electrocuting Ming-hua on screen after all, why spare Zaheer a brutal death?

2023-09-30 00:50:57 +0000 UTCThe ending with Jinora as the spitting image of Aang, cutting to Korra at her lowest, has stayed with me ever since this first "aired" (online). Forgot a bunch of things, only remember like 2 and a half things from the rest of the show after all this time, but that spoke to me back then, and getting to this point, and then out of it, is why I forgive the whole show all its missteps. So thanks for giving me this excuse to rewatch it. Sherlock I've only watched once, so that's very fun too, but I never have anything clever enough to comment under those episodes :D

2023-09-29 22:23:58 +0000 UTCKorra doesn't have plot armor 😅 like obviously she's the main character but things happen to main characters. Also, it'd be dumb if the kids randomly rushed into battle between Korra and Zaheer. You dont look at a warzone with bullets flying and just because you have a gun, you go rush in to help lol. You have to think and strategize. And it made perfect sense for Korra to fight Zaheer. She's literally at her most powerful in the Avatar State. And the poison keeps her stuck there. Because she's aware the poison is gonna kill her, there's nothing better for her to do other than use that power against the man who she thought killed her father at the time. Something that's incredible and sad about Korra here is that her arc from the first season has come full circle. Korra sees her bending and her role as the Avatar, as her entire identity. All three of her villains so far have in one way or another, told her that she is not needed in the world anymore. Amon with bending as a whole, saying that the Avatar has only hurt the world with her power. Unalaq with trying to replace her as an Avatar, saying she is failing with her spiritual duties. And now Zaheer, with her role as a spiritual leader and protector of the world, he wants her gone complelty. Even her hallucinations with the poison in her had them all saying that the world doesn't need her. And now, Zaheer has put the Avatar in a wheelchair. She is now physically unable to do her job. Although Tenzin didn't mean it this way, what Korra essentially heard when Tenzin said the Airbenders would travel the world, filling the Avatars role is "Since the Avatar cannot do her job, we are going to do it for her." That's why she's just so fully broken at the end. She has lost her purpose and her sense of identity.

2023-09-29 07:37:56 +0000 UTCI totally forgot about P’Li’s death on Netflix!! It drives me crazy cos I’m 99% sure they cut out like 2 seconds of footage where you see the explosion inside the helmet 🤯 Censorship’s a bitch!

2023-09-28 02:45:57 +0000 UTCNAME A BETTER VILLAIN

2023-09-27 18:29:02 +0000 UTCI actually never look at the timer, i sync it by way of watching the video.

2023-09-27 07:16:50 +0000 UTCglad to see mako bring back his lightning bending. we haven't seen it since the first season i think

2023-09-27 06:22:18 +0000 UTCthis season was so good!!! i really thought we were gonna lose lin and/or tenzin, i was freaking out. i looked up who composed the music, jeremy zuckerman did both ATLA and Korra and... dude completely understands the assignment and zaheer being a short king? so true
Ariana Mitchell
2023-09-27 06:21:46 +0000 UTCThe final scene of this season is so chilling and heartbreaking. Happy and surprised they had the courage to go with it 😭

2023-09-27 04:38:52 +0000 UTCOh wow! Idk how I missed this completely. Both the episode timers are wrong! Thank you so much for the correction. We're going to fix and reupload the YouTube link. Unfortunately, I can't fix the Patreon embedded video without deleting the whole post so that will stay up as incorrect. You're a real one!

2023-09-27 03:08:36 +0000 UTCI've seen this final episode several times and it still hits me the same way. I don't think I've ever had a dry eye seeing it. The fight scenes are so epic. I love how Korra and Zaheer's battle matches the aesthetics and energy of Aang's battle with Ozai. And Jinora coming into her own is just priceless. Season 3 is my favorite season. Everything about the season was just a step better than the previous two seasons. Season 4 doesn't quite hit the emotional highs that season 3 does, but it's a worthy follow up. Unlike the previous 3 seasons, Korra's development does take center stage, although the season 4 villain is certainly a worthy adversary.
Robert Bonfante
2023-09-27 00:53:29 +0000 UTCIt paves the way for her continued growth. What's interesting is that by episode 12, Korra had already become a worthy Avatar, willing to sacrifice herself to save the Air Nation. She wasn't completely helpless though -- she landed the last big hit on Zaheer, using the chain to drive Zaheer forcibly into the ground.
Robert Bonfante
2023-09-27 00:44:04 +0000 UTCKorra's battle with Zaheer is such as homage to Aang's battle with Ozai. The show's creators knew what they were doing.
Robert Bonfante
2023-09-27 00:40:07 +0000 UTCIdk if this is a hot take but this is my favorite finale in the avatar verse. Something about that last shot of the tear falling down Korra's face, I can't get it out of my head.
Francesca White
2023-09-27 00:23:32 +0000 UTCLove Korra so much, cry everytime I watch this episode, poor girl </3
Evelyn Flickinger
2023-09-27 00:08:37 +0000 UTCAnd this is why Korra is my goat. this last set of episodes is a pay off for everything from the previous books that all i could do was cry as a teen.

2023-09-26 22:46:15 +0000 UTCThat was amazing! Loved your reactions and loved the show. This is my 2nd time watching it and still got tears in my eyes. Such beautiful characters...

2023-09-26 22:30:21 +0000 UTCFor some reason the timer on this one was like 15 seconds off.
John Piazza
2023-09-26 21:23:45 +0000 UTCKorra is a Zuko-tier character; a heavily flawed individual who goes through a very dramatic series of changes, positive and negative, to eventually achieve some kind of enlightenment; independence and perspective, respectively. So many ups and downs where she solves one problem , only to walk straight into another because of it. Book One Korra is different than Book Two Korra, and Book Two Korra is very different from Book Three Korra, and Book Four Korra is miles different than Book Three Korra. Korra is heavily challenged, constantly forced to improve in dramatic ways, that only Zuko can match.

2023-09-26 21:21:55 +0000 UTCI still can’t believe you haven’t noticed that Ming-Hua is voiced by the same person that voices Azula.
Alvin Everett
2023-09-26 21:07:38 +0000 UTCShaved Jinora looks so much like her grandpa, and she embodies his spirit so much.

2023-09-26 21:05:35 +0000 UTCLoved your reactions Nat! Been a long time since I've watched LOK and pretty much didn't remember anything about Book 3. But this one is by far my favorite so far. Loved it.
Steven Hok
2023-09-26 20:36:28 +0000 UTCsomething that always strikes me in the finale is that korra wasn't the one who defeated zaheer, or any of his lackeys. her big 'win' was when she held off the poison long enough to escape the cave, but for the first time, she had to be saved by the people she dedicated herself to saving. when she gave herself up, the sacrifice she was prepared to make to ensure that the air nomads survived and balance would continue in the world, ended up being her greatest failure, and it's left the whole world in disarray -- the earth kingdom struggling without a queen and ba sing se rioting, the northern air temple being completely destroyed, and the world without an avatar. and unlike all the other times she's messed up (eg. the aftermath in republic city after amon / the spirit portal), she can't even do anything about it!! for the first time, she is helpless while other people have to fix the problems she thinks she caused. it's a complete deconstruction of her character in the most brutal way possible, and i love it dearly!!
icy honor
2023-09-26 20:24:40 +0000 UTCI love how threataning Zaheer was and everybody grew this season the most especially the airnation like wish Anag was here to see it and the Zaheer vs Korra fight was awesome it was on par with Anag's finale fight with Firelord

2023-09-26 19:58:33 +0000 UTCI'm glad we're doing two episodes at a time. Its really helped the flow here at the end of this season. I've seen this season several times and that last bit with Jinora getting her tattoos and Korra in a wheelchair gets me every time. Such a great ending.

2023-09-26 19:43:00 +0000 UTCI'm so glad you liked this season! Watching Korra get so traumatized at the end of this season is so hard to watch, but such a good choice for her character. Watching her recovery really helped me deal with my own PTSD as a teenager. I hope you enjoy season 4 just as much.
Amberlee Woodhouse
2023-09-26 19:23:04 +0000 UTCAnd thus Jinora became the youngest airbending Master in history beating out the previous record holder, her own grandfather Aang, by a few months! Such an incredible season finale - Korra's rage-fueled battle, the airbenders coming together to help her, Jinora earning her tattoos accompanied by the masterful score by Jeremy Zuckerman.. Perfection!

2023-09-26 19:21:43 +0000 UTCYou said you wanted Korra to go through some harder character development... well here we go haha

2023-09-26 18:02:48 +0000 UTCim so excited to rewatch book 4 with u, mainly for korra's development :)

2023-09-26 17:52:14 +0000 UTCYou're right, season 4 was also shown only online.

2023-09-26 17:48:37 +0000 UTCAnd yes, P'Li, Ming Hua, and Gahzan are all dead. Kuvira is also someone who appeared earlier in the season, but not in name. She was the lead performer on the dance team when we first me Su Yin, she was on the magazine Lin was reading, she's the one guard who held her own against Zaheer in Zaofu after he got yoinked from the rest of his group, and she's the one who led the investigation after Aiwei fled. She's voiced by Zelda Williams, Robin Williams' daughter.

2023-09-26 17:47:56 +0000 UTCIf I'm not mistaken, for both on screen deaths, Earth Queen and CombustionWoman, some frames were removed from when it first aired. The air actually completely leaving out of her body... and the explosion in the metal helmet were shown. I also remember Nickelodeon removing Korra from their TV line up because of this... we had to watch the rest of the season on line... not sure if season 4 was on TV or not.

2023-09-26 17:11:30 +0000 UTCLoved rewatching this season with you can’t wait for next season!!!

2023-09-26 17:06:06 +0000 UTCI`ve seen this episode and season 10 times now, I still cry every time I watch the ending, CRY LIKE A BABY..... Such a massage and Korra man, being defeated and the time it takes to come back...... Dam what a good season this and the next are man.....

2023-09-26 17:03:09 +0000 UTCLoving the double episodes (: This season is great with Zaheer and his extreme idea of Freedom. He did explain earlier in the season that the Red Lotus is an offshoot of the White Lotus., and they broke off when the white lotus came out of hiding to assist the Avatar openly. Oh also, I really liked how the season matured in a way that there are a lot more deaths that are really gruesome actually (although not shown on screen if not it will be Mature content for sure).. Suffocation, explosion, electrocution, buried. But also exploring the ideologies of the world from different perspectives After season 4, you really should dive into reading some of the comics if you have the time. Its really interesting!

2023-09-26 16:49:21 +0000 UTCGod that last shot is so f'ing good. Her entire understanding of herself has been built around being the avatar and being a bad-ass fighter, and now she's paralyzed, is being told that others will take over her role as avatar for her, and she has to watch someone who looks exactly like Aang, whose shadow she's always been in, be unveiled as the person who will spearhead all of it. And she wants to try to feel happy but she just can't. Ughhhhhhh it's so good. It was that shot, and her arc that follows, that solidified for me my preference for Korra over ATLA. I can sense a dark night of the soul coming...

2023-09-26 16:46:07 +0000 UTCJust a heads up, I believe the timer isnt in sync with Netflix episode for episode 12? Not sure if its the same with episode 13 as Im just starting watch episode 12. But for example, rn when im watching Nat’s reaction, the timer is 22:04, but on Netflix, its 21:50. Not sure if I explained it well as english isnt my first language.

2023-09-26 16:42:11 +0000 UTCHappy Twosday Nat. Excited to see how this season ends and how they are going to set up the next 😊 ha ha it looked like Ridley was walking along your sleeve to get in position 😄 What an amazing finale Nat. So epic and cinematic. Everyone came together and used their skills to overcome the villains and it was brilliantly done. And of course the score was incredible. Looking forward to seeing what direction we go in the next season. Thanks for an awesome reaction today Nat 💛
