Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. So excited to dive back into Peaky Blinders! LOVING this show a lot and so eager to see how the season wraps up.

2024-07-30 00:26:01 +0000 UTCI think Sam Neil’s character is scary in a different way from Tommy. Tommy is intimidating because he’s smart but you also know he could mess you up personally. Campbell, on the other hand, lists every member of Tommy’s family by name (just to show he knows) and what will happen to them if he screws Campbell over. A threat which, given his position/the time period, there’s a chance he could make good on 👀 He’s a weak man with power, scary in a more creepy/sleazy way Also it is kinda funny that Tommy is playing 5D chess while everyone else is playing checkers, but he spills everything to Grace because he fancies her lmaoooo relatable x

There are a whole bunch of Sinti who'd rather be called Gypsy than Romani, because at least the former term actually includes them and doesn't just subsume them under the Roma. It's not even close to the same ballpark as a lot of other slurs. It's not polite, no. But getting angry at a "I know that's not the correct term" statement is complete overreaction.
