2024-09-04 21:16:20 +0000 UTCThis is unrelated to the poll and not sure if you've seen it but Goodwill hunting is one of the greatest movies ever made in my opinion you have to check it out. It features Ben Affleck and Matt Damon (who also wrote it) along with Robin Williams
Ryder Collins
2024-08-20 03:13:39 +0000 UTCYou gonna consider Loki Season 2?
Adam Ramirez
2024-08-17 01:17:23 +0000 UTCEveryone should watch the Big Short at least once

2024-08-14 20:57:23 +0000 UTCAnne was an EP on the show before she past away and her son Christopher is also a current EP and executor of the rights. I think they seem to be okay with the reinvention I imagine Anne at the very least okayed the casting and timeline changes in preproduction before she passed

2024-08-14 07:54:36 +0000 UTCEnd of Watch as a bromance? I mean that's one way to sell it I guess...

2024-08-14 06:23:08 +0000 UTCoddly enough, one of the executive producers is Mark Bakshi, son of Ralph Bakshi the pioneering animator behind Fritz the Cat, Wizards, American Pop, Coonskin, Cool World and more, which makes sense now that I'm thinking about it since Cool World was a big moment for Brad Pitt...

2024-08-14 06:20:52 +0000 UTCBeyond the sexual harassment, Coppola also took convicted child predator Victor Salva under his wing and financed his films. Those films are little more than a way for Salva to explore his kinks in plain sight and considering his victims were the actors in his first film, his entire output as a film maker is tainted and disgusting. Those movies are the Jeepers Creepers franchise and Powder. Once I learned Coppola kept that guy around... made movies with him about children in danger... nah. No fuckin way. Too creepy.

2024-08-14 06:13:49 +0000 UTCThe movie was awesome, the series not so much. Fanfiction is one way to call it. Different characters with different backgrounds in a different timeline, wished that Anne was still alive.

2024-08-14 01:39:55 +0000 UTCI have a feeling that’s more due to how people assume Nat would react to it herself rather than an accurate reflection of how many of her Patreon supporters love the movie.

2024-08-14 00:30:26 +0000 UTCNeeds to watch all Villeneuve

2024-08-14 00:09:32 +0000 UTCYesssssss The Big Short!!!!!! Literally been so blessed, Apollo 13 and the Big Short are two of my favorite movies.

2024-08-13 23:25:13 +0000 UTCI always want reactors to do The Big Short. It's a true story, probably the most consequential event (outside of war) of the 21st century, and it's told in a way extremely understandable to most people that is very, very funny.
Baron Imhoof
2024-08-13 22:49:31 +0000 UTCLets see Paul Allen’s reaction to American Psycho…

2024-08-13 21:31:45 +0000 UTCPretty sure I know what one scene she's seen. (Probably the same scene I've seen. Possibly its most iconic scene.)

2024-08-13 21:19:10 +0000 UTCAs good as The Godfather is, I'm not sure how suitable it is as a "watchalong reaction" movie.

2024-08-13 21:17:08 +0000 UTCYou need to watch Incendies. It's very good

2024-08-13 18:20:08 +0000 UTCNot gonna lie I was hoping Furiosa would be in this one. But American Psycho is one of my favorite movies so it’s an easy pick for me.

2024-08-13 17:44:36 +0000 UTCCoppolais an asshole, kissing his female employees. But Godfather is STILL better than the rest. American Psycho should win regardless.

2024-08-13 17:35:07 +0000 UTCMay be a bit early for October spooky suggestions but for Natmares this year would Interview with the Vampire TV series be something interesting in adding to the poll since season 2 just finished adaptating the second half of the book. Or possibly the 1994 film. Both are great and would recommend watching both for a comparison.

2024-08-13 17:00:22 +0000 UTCThe Big Short is FANTASTIC!

2024-08-13 15:12:35 +0000 UTCBig Short is one of my favorite movies of the last 10 years. Surprised it's close to first as I feel like it's not super well known

2024-08-13 14:29:15 +0000 UTCThe Big Short is great and could lead to another Adam McKay movie, Moneyball.
MrStelmacki
2024-08-13 14:23:33 +0000 UTCI would love the first three of them for some mindless fun reactions.
Danishprince
2024-08-13 14:15:08 +0000 UTCPretty spot on. I don't necessarily vote based on what I think is the best movie but what I think will make the best reaction or that she will enjoy the most
Danishprince
2024-08-13 14:14:17 +0000 UTCThe Big Short is such an entertaining movie, really hope it wins!
Danishprince
2024-08-13 14:12:33 +0000 UTCI think it's because we're not picking "best movies of all time" or "most likely to win an award", we're picking "most fun to watch Natalie watch". In the same way most people don't bring that year's Oscars crop to a movie night with friends
Christopher Vollick
2024-08-13 14:01:12 +0000 UTCYounger audience for the most part mostly Gen Z. Why do you think all the super hero stuff wins a lot 😂
Thats MR. Baldamort
2024-08-13 13:49:06 +0000 UTCUgh, I think American Psycho has too big a lead but I’m really pulling for The Big Short.
Thomas Wetherell
2024-08-13 13:45:07 +0000 UTCYou know seeing that it's currently winning, I hadn't thought about it in a while, haven't seen the film in years, but AP was a movie that I ended up sharing with a lot of people. My bro and I were 17 when we rented it from Hollywood Video (on VHS) along with Norm McDonald’s “Screwed” which was also a pretty great comedy. We loved it, and shared it with family members (some DID NOT like it) and it just grew from there. Went to college and shared with friends and got into arguments about it, then eventually my wife and I saw it together and we ended up quoting it a lot, even to this day. My brothers and uncle would say shit like "I need to go return some videotapes" all the time, or "Have you heard Huey Lewis and the News" etc. lol sorry it's kinda weird thinking about it now. It started me on a Bret Easton Ellis book kick with AP, Glamorama, Less than Zero and Lunar Park. All great reads. Recommended. Okay I’m done lol now I hope it wins so I can rewatch it again with a whole new group of people and perspective EDIT: And right after I type this it starts losing lol alright maybe next time

2024-08-13 13:30:37 +0000 UTCYes, Punch Drunk Love is a movie I wouldn't have watched without having watched Uncut Gems first. I also liked Hustle. Will check out Reign on Me.
Edward Rahardjo
2024-08-13 13:28:41 +0000 UTCUncut gems would be fun

2024-08-13 13:28:08 +0000 UTCExactly. Also everyone should know about those things cause it's what fucks up with our lives and it affects us everyday.

2024-08-13 13:25:10 +0000 UTCCheck out Punch Drunk Love and Reign Over Me. Punch Drunk Love is more of a dark comedy but he plays it totally straight and that's what makes it special. Reign Over Me is a drama where he plays a man who lost his family in 9/11. Not a GREAT movie but a great performance and the first time he really tried to show what he could be capable of.

2024-08-13 13:20:20 +0000 UTCIt simplifies a giant and complex situation and makes it entertaining in the most commercial way possible. Honestly I wish more biopics were like it. It even tells you when it's bullshitting you for the sake of the story.

2024-08-13 13:19:49 +0000 UTCUncut Gems gets my vote. Really put Adam Sandler on the map for me as a serious actor.
Edward Rahardjo
2024-08-13 13:17:02 +0000 UTCThis is a pretty decent list of films. I think the most entertaining films to react to would be American Psycho or Uncut Gems, personally. Or Scarface. I literally just watched The Big Short for the first time last month, made my blood boil. Don't know if I'd want to watch that one again, although Nat's reaction could be interesting if she got as angry as me lol
Mike Hell
2024-08-13 13:16:38 +0000 UTCthat's a tough list. Godfather is top 5 movies of all time, it's quoted so much that alot of people don't know they're quoting it. American Psycho is meh, Scarface is meh but necessary, Big Short is fantastic but very #thisIsMerica so depressingly correct, I don't know Uncut Gems... it's on my list now. Godfather is by far the best movie there, it's not even close. You'll have a hard time ever finding a movie that good, and you might even like Godfather 2 better. No CG, no green screening, just amazing actors on an amazing script, filmed in a style that defined a genre

2024-08-13 13:14:48 +0000 UTCWon't understand how this is the only patron I'm Subscribed to where The Godfather and Scarface don't automatically win/lead in the polls, usually it's a no brainer, l wonder what it is, Both of those films blow the rest out of the water
dieselbeast
2024-08-13 13:11:24 +0000 UTCI've picked Uncut Gems as I had never heard of it before, and I love watching shows and films that I have never seen..

2024-08-13 13:09:00 +0000 UTCNat just react to Scarface these Cinephiles won’t vote it even if it’s a cult classic hell they won’t even for The Godfather and that’s ten times better than all these films here.
