You weren't able to catch the spider because it wasn't really there. It was part of Madelyne Pryor's illusions. She's so powerful even you were effected.

I like this more better this time around rewatching it. I just didn't like that dumb villain. It's like two episodes in one. This episode a lot of 90's shows and the Z Men arcade video game which I beat a couple.

A few weeks behind so I'm not expecting many to even see this comment but I really don't know what to think of this show.. I quite enjoy it but also feels everything just moves at far too quick a pace for my liking.. Like every episode wants to do so much and almost feels like half a seasons worth of story crammed into 30 minutes episodes

Danishprince

My friend, I think you may be confused.

Jubilee mentions wanting to go to the arcade for her birthday for "old time's sake". This is a reference to the pilot episode of Xmen: The Animated Series when it aired in 1992, where she was rescued from sentinels at an arcade by the Xmen.

I feel like the reason I personally enjoyed the jubilee episode was because we finally saw her character reach adulthood, along with revealing the true potential of her powers. Kind of symbolized the audience growing up, Jubilee was very much our eyes and ears in the original series, a young Mutant who was entering the world of the X-Men for the first time just like so many young viewers. She grew alongside her audience and that was really fun to see, similar to a character like Ahsoka Tano from The Clone Wars. Jubilee was only 13 year old back in Season 1 (1992) and since then grew alongside the other X-Men, even getting to the point where she lead a group of young mutants on a field trip. So I'm glad the showrunners decided to tell a short story surrounding Jubilee turning 18 years old. But... It's still the weakest epiosde of the season, fun though. Cannot wait for next week with Ep5 :D

LittleGalaxyBoy

yes, this... the season really hits in episode 5

I think it would be best to power through the final 3 episodes as fast as possible since they are a 3 parter.

A lot of people felt this episode was filler, myself included. But after this episode the season takes off.

just so you know alot of those video game scenes are direct reference to one of the most beloved xmen games of all time that came out along time ago on the sega genesis and Arcade Boxes. Also yes I totally understand your simping as the xmen shows and games in general have always been a treasure trove for bisexuals and lgbt+ people in general as the comics, games and movies have tended to have a lot of LGBT people involved in their creation and Xmen more than any other marvel comic has always had the strongest appeal with the LGBT+ community. This was very intentional by Stan Lee as he felt the metaphor of the mutants and the xmen struggle while centered on the civil rights issues in general has always had the strongest and most obvious connection to the struggle specifically of LGBT+ people, this is actually a big reason behind why the X-Gene was written to function the way it does in the comics.

There's no real need to recap anything for S3 of Daredevil, Nat would be able to piece together any gaps with context clues.

Erik Stevenson

Cant wait for the next one! Random tidbit for motendo, the older jubilee voice actor actually did the voice for jubilee on the orginal run of the show but opted not to come back believing jubilee should be voiced by an asian actress

Rey

Daredevil was fighting some bad guys, and the dropped a building on him. That's all you need to know.

Guys we’re close to episode 5!

Christopher Henderson

Even though, admittedly, this episode is the most lackluster of the bunch, oh boy, are you in for a treat next episode. Very excited.

Before Natmares rolls around very soon I figured it was fitting with a couple of lighthearted fun movies, National Treasure 1 and 2 perhaps? <3

Danishprince

Does anyone have a good Defenders recap video they can recommend so that we can get into Daredevil Season 3? It's been too long since season 2 and I don't think anyone wants to go through Ironfist to get to it.

I watched that part where Roberto was panicking in Portuguese with the Brazilian Closed Captioning, screenshotted the text, and translated it. Basically he said: “I don’t care! I’m screwed! This place is very dangerous! I gotta get outta here!” For the Brazilian Portuguese dub, Jubilee responded with this: “I know you're nervous, but there's no point in yelling at me. I know I messed up badly.” As someone who has recently seen the entirety of X-Men: The Animated Series to prep for the continuation, I can guarantee this: as much as I hate Apocalypse and Mister Sinister, at least both of them have quite the range to be supervillains. Mojo, on the other hand, is simply the most annoying character in the entire show. He’s kidnapped several of the X-Men more than once but they always manage to survive and break free from his capture. Armored Jubilee is a variant known as Abscissa. Fun fact: Alyson Court used to voice Jubilee in the 90’s. She didn’t reprise her role for this and instead passed it down to rising actress Holly Chou. Alyson now voices Abscissa. By the way, I’m not sure if you grew up watching The Big Comfy Couch. If you have, Alyson also portrayed Loonette. Forge was the leader of X-Factor. They’re another group of heroic mutants similar to the X-Men. One of the differences is that while the X-Men work with the government, X-Factor worked for them directly. Another difference is the funding. The X-Men had Charles’ fortune whereas X-Factor were publicly funded. His teammates consisted of the following: Lorna Dane/Polaris Rahne Sinclair/Wolfsbane Alex Summers/Havok Jamie Madrox/Multiple Man Pietro Maximoff/Quicksilver Guido Carosella/Strong Guy

While its not necessary to watch the original series, this is series IS a direct continuation so the original does get referenced quite a bit. I saw this article that lists the most important episodes in case you may want to check them out in your spare time. https://movieweb.com/essential-x-men-animated-series-episodes-to-watch-before-97/
