When I rewatch this series, I basically basically just skip around to the Aegon scenes. He has by far the best arc. He goes from an ignorant kid who tries to be a good king, to a grieving father, to an insecure son, to a burn victim in recovery. A lot of the season has been marred by shoddy writing and characters spinning their wheels, but Aegon is the one character who seems to be actually progressing. And he elicits such conflicting emotions in the audience: he’s an idiot, he’s pathetic, you despise him, yet you also pity him and some small part of you roots for him to recover. I attribute a lot of these aforementioned successes to Tom Glynn-Carney’s excellent portrayal.

2024-09-16 21:16:26 +0000 UTCBecause this show is doing something different from GOT. If you were just expecting more GOT but in prequel format you're always gonna have screwed expectations. Season 2 had its weaknesses, no doubt, but Season 1 was an incredibly solid season of television, more than even GOT Season 1 was. It doesn't attempt to have the same number of side storylines and side characters as GOT. It's a different story structure.

They were also parents to Saera Targaryen, whom we can infer is blacksmith Hugh's mother. When Hugh said her *brother's* boys he meant his mother was Daemon and Viserys' aunt, making Hugh their cousin. The dragon in the vale is a wild one. Hope that helps clarify!

I think one of the good things in Game Of Thrones was the way we followed several story lines with different main characters, but on this show we don't have the same quality of side cast as GOT.

Are you fkn kidding me his yell was EPIC as hell - manage expectations cmon nat xD - People need to note this series is filmed MUCH different than GoT, they are going for the long form. In the end hopefully it all pays off. Yes its blue balling just enjoy all the little details along the way.
