2024-09-15 03:26:33 +0000 UTCThere aren't a whole lot of callbacks to the original, BUT... if you watch the original (which you should!!!) you will understand the significance of DOROTHY.

2024-09-14 20:18:43 +0000 UTCFYI they did film a kiss at the end but I think Spielberg decided to cut it because he didn't want the romance to be the main part of the characters' journeys. If you really want to see that kiss, there's footage of it online.

2024-09-14 13:55:29 +0000 UTCLove this movie and it stands side by side with the original. Very Enjoyable and a definite multiple rewatchable

2024-09-14 12:43:28 +0000 UTCYou ever get that spider situation sorted Nat, or did it escape into the shadows to gather strength and plot your future demise?

2024-09-14 11:35:25 +0000 UTCThis movie was an ok watch, not a patch on the original tho that's for sure. I'll watch along with you on this one to see what you thought Nat just cos I'm interested, not cos I want to watch the movie again. Not like when I had already seen Top Gun Maverick for example.

2024-09-13 23:07:54 +0000 UTCNat search and rescue. You speed to help because you may be able to save someone trapped in their house or someone who might be bleeding to death. Side note you can tell nat has spent alot of time in the big cities. Lol storms actually do pop up very fast..

2024-09-13 22:20:56 +0000 UTCIt was subtle but notice how she was wearing shorts until the accident and her leg scar then she was nothing but pants until the end then she was wearing shorts again, that's her coming thru a lot of things and finally being at peace. I lived in Tornado alley my whole life in Texas and yeah they have warnings and watches but when you hear the sirens going off if your lucky 10-15 mins before one actually hits. Been thru only 3 my whole life including one in my elementary school. My son wants to be a tornado chaser and is looking into college for meteorology.

2024-09-13 19:35:42 +0000 UTCDid she watch this before the original? That's a shame. Especially as a lot of reactors watched that one.

2024-09-13 13:28:10 +0000 UTCIf you don't compare it to the original it's a fun summer popcorn tornado thang. Glen Powell is growing on me. Given the right script and direction he can be incredible.

2024-09-13 13:18:31 +0000 UTCHappy Feature Friday Nat. I really enjoyed this movie and have been looking forward to your reaction all week 😊 Had a blast watching this one with you Nat. It's just a fun blockbuster that, as you said, knows what it's doing and does it all so well. Glen Powell was in fine form, and the set pieces, music and sound are all top notch. The guy at the motel in the rodeo town, who tried to escape in his car should have known better. He was played by Bill Paxton's son, James. The story of this one pretty much stands on it's own alongside the original. There is one piece of technology that links the two. Thanks for an awesome reaction today Nat, and for all your great work this week. Have a great time at your weddings this weekend 💛
