Help me pick a movie!

Hear me out, I know this is a super weird poll.

Fantasy, horror, sci-fi...we've got it all! I really did not know how to make a cohesive poll that included Nosferatu and movies I actually wanted to watch. So I just decided to throw in some movies I'm interested in regardless of the genre haha.

Looking forward to seeing what wins!

I'm new, so I haven't seen past polls, so I'm not sure if the following suggestions have been considered previously. A couple of movies that nobody has reacted to, as far as I know, are 'Way of the Gun' and 'Angels & Demons'. Both of them are highly underrated. 'Way of the Gun' is in the genre of nihilistic neo-western. It could be compared to 'No Country for Old Men', though is not as good, but it's still very good. It ends with one the best shootouts I've seen. It stars a young Benicio Del Toro, Ryan Phillipe, and James Caan. In the other hand, 'Angels & Demons' is the sequel to 'The DaVinci Code'. The latter is a faithful adaptation of the novel, but it lacks suspense and action. On the contrary, 'Angels & Demons' is a great thriller with excellent action. The changes made from the book makes for a better story, at least in my opinion. Stars Tom Hanks, Ewan McGregor, and Stellan Skarsgaard. It's directed by Ron Howard and Hans Zimmer composed the score. It was followed by 'Inferno', which I like too, but not as much.

If you get the chance, I’d love to see your reaction to Peter Jackson’s “King Kong,” please. 😊

Trae King

Pan's Labyrinth feels like a movie-storytelling of a European/Brother's Grimm fairy tale - but remarkably it is an original story. It's really, really well done. And while it won't make you laugh and sing - just the opposite - you will Marvel at how Cinematic..... wait... no.... you will be amazed at how well done it is!

Mastervodo

Also, other reactors that I sub to are watching both this Friday. I'm looking forward too that reaction! :)

Logan Kerlee

@PraytellCaesar It's too nice of a suggestion, maybe?

Logan Kerlee

Pan's Labyrinth and Nosferatu are two of the greatest horror films of all time. The are also just genius films, regardless of genre. You MUST do both. (Although Pan's is more horror-adjacent . . . sort of a dark fairy tale, not capital H horror.)

Lionbarber

I just got finished with that movie.. wow! It's a very dark one that's also very entertaining. I wasn't scared but I was a bit grossed out with it. Definitely worth a watch and I'd be stoked to see a reaction for it. :)

Logan Kerlee

I don't think that I've ever watched Close Encounters before either. I'm saving my first time watch to see with a reactor, whichever one I'm subbed to that watched it first. :)

Logan Kerlee

Drives me crazy that it's not! </3 It's EASILY the best film to watch on this poll.

Logan Kerlee

This would make my day! I love watching older movies. I'm 36 1/2, so these would even be older than me! I think that's fun. :)

Logan Kerlee

That may be true but I'd love it as an experience to see what horror was originally like on film.

Logan Kerlee

Thank youuu! lol, I love Pan's Labyrinth so I'm stoked that it's getting so much support. :) Nosferatu's an alright watch - it's just not as cool/interesting or fun as Pan's Labyrinth is in my book, so that's why it got my vote! :)

Logan Kerlee

See, I voted for Pan's Labyrinth only because it's something that I've been wanting her to see for so long, now. Nosferatu's an alright watch - it's just a movie that I feel can be watched anytime and I feel that Pan's Labyrinth has been on the poll for enough time to be watched already.

Logan Kerlee

I'm with you! Awesome poll with GREAT options! I also voted for Pan's Labyrinth over Nosferatu - but that's only because I've wanted her to watch Pan's Labyrinth for a LONG while now! :)

Logan Kerlee

I really like Nosferatu but I wanna see a reaction for Pan's Labyrinth! Come on guys, vote it in, please!

Logan Kerlee

Here here

Nathan Horn

Bruh, other musicals exist besides Little Shop. Greatest Showman and LaLa Land. 🙄

Eric Janssen

Not this one

Joao

yes the nice guys would be a fun react.

Mauricio Morales

I second this recommendation. It's too good of a movie to be missed

PrayTellCaesar

it reminded me of walking through the horror section of Madame Tussauds Hollywood Wax Museum. There’s a detached play like or diorama like nature to everything in it.

djKENTO

The Nice Guys

Tiger Chu

Yes. Beautiful but boring is how I described it to my friends

Gavinmc

Pan’s is basically a perfect movie. Well one scene is beyond brutal, but overall just perfect flow and direction and art style

Gavinmc

we need a Fantastic 4 trailer reaction 💙❤️🤎💛

Jazz

I also recommend watching the substance. That was a cool movie.

jamie jones

Yeah pan is definitely the master piece in the list but man all of these movies are worth to watch.

Mauricio Morales

OH please be another tie between Pan's and Nosfarhoweveryouspellit! All you people who voted for that boring Close Encounters movie, change your vote!

Mastervodo

Oooh this was a great poll! Voted Pans Labyrinth just because it's been years since I've rewatched it and I'm overdue, but definitely not mad at Nosferatu either!

Erik Stevenson

That would do awful numbers on youtube

Rey

Fuck yea , just bought nosferatu too, but i would also reccomend smile just so you can check out smile 2! Naomi Scott is so good in it

Rey

I feel like I’m the only person who thought Nosferatu was beautiful to look at but incredibly boring and lifeless as a narrative.

djKENTO

I'm on a Nosferatu high at the moment so I chose that, but I would still absolutely love for Nat to see Pan's Labyrinth. It's phenomenal.

Sean Vieira

I would’ve sworn blind that Nat had already watched Pan’s. I guess not so bad gets my vote.

Harry Reece

Another tough choice, because I haven't seen Nosferatu or Smile but I want to, I have seen Close Encounters and it's great, but I voted Pan's Labyrinth because it's a personal favorite of mine and one I think everyone has to see at least once.

Joe D. MacGuffinstuff

Pan’s Labyrinth blows all these other picks out the water, actual masterpiece. Nosferatu was so lackluster imo

Daniel McGuinness

I enjoyed Nosferatu but Pan’s Labyrinth is a true masterpiece.

Jacob King

Nosferatu was so good

Matheus Leopoldino

How about the Original 1923? Silent. Groundbreaking. It has also been colorized

Nick Mo

I would like to see a single annual movie watch poll of only movies that are at least over 35yrs old--tired of all the recent stuff

Tom Tomlinson

Nosferatu bored me to death. I hope it doesn't do the same to you!

Jules Readner

Man i just recommended/suggested what movies to watch. It aint so serious mate.

Jonathan Wiking

You know how hard it is to get one movie chosen? And you want three for the price of one, when probably 90% or more of her audience don’t want that. That’s wild judgement on your part mate.

Nathan Elkin

Hating an entire genre makes you so cool timothy

jamie jones

Recency bias 🤷‍♂️

Ben Jones

How is Pan's Labyrinth not winning be a mile?

Firewalker

On Friday. Says so in the Monday post.

Brodie Bazo

Bruh musicals suck

Timothy Mills

Wicked, when????

Joao

Think you know E.T. ? You don’t know Close Encounters. 😎👽

Eric Janssen

Pans labyrinth by far best movie on this list

Kraackin

Pan's Labyrinth is a must watch. It's like an adult Alice in Wonderland, in backdrop of WW1. I hope the top 2 will be picked from this poll, just because!

Edward Rahardjo

Nat , can we please have "The Substance" in the next movie poll , i think you will be blown away be this movie , one of Demi Moore best performances , and cinematography is insane. But be warned , it is a body horror movie , it really do´s get very gross later on in the movie :)

Peter Heine

I think Pan's Labyrinth is the best film in this list, so I voted for that :) but I'm cool with Nosferatu or any of these picks. You keep trying to get some love for Close Encounters lol

Mike Hell

Tough choice between Nosferatu and Pan's Labyrinth. I haven't seen Nosferatu but I've heard so much good things. A friend of a friend thought Nosferatu was going to be like a Twilight movie. 😂

Redrum Ritual

Visually well done. Can't believe dude is about to make a sequel to Labrynth.

Boomcity

What? They are really great. I know they are old but they are worth a watch.

Jonathan Wiking

Wow, what a group! I've seen them all and love them all. I voted for Nosferatu.

Troy

If it ends up being Nosferatu it'll be my first time watching it as well 😁

IngloriousPrime8

Each time Close Encounters of the Third Kind comes up for a vote, it loses 😔, but I will keep voting for it! 💪

David Olden

I think The Substance would be a great film to consider reacting to. Was my favorite film of 2024!

K.N.

I would like to see all of these but I’m voting for Smile even tho it’s my least favourite film here because I want Smile 2.

Razor Bikini

Happy Wednesday Nat. I think you should just watch these movies over the next 4 weeks. All 4 of them are amazing. Voting for Nosferatu as it's at the top. Watch the theatrical version if it wins. The extended cut re-instates a scene that the director originally took out because he said it ruined the moment. Go figure 🤔😄 Have a great day Nat 💛

Darryl Low

Nosferatu was amazing. But so is Pan's! I d love a Nosferatu reaction first tho

kikoyito

I saw Nosferatu in the theater last month and... man! Robert Eggers never disappointed me. I love all the movies he made so far.

Adithep_Jay

I'm hoping smile wins! I really want to see her react to smile 2 as well

Lobos625

It’s gonna make you uncomfortable

Nathan Elkin

That’s a bit much mate

Nathan Elkin

Please can we watch the other Nosferatu movies as well? 1922 original, 1979 version. Shadow of the vampire?

Jonathan Wiking

Smile is underrated but Nosferatu was pretty good.
