One reassuring touch is that in the beginning when you see Lillia falling; she looks scared and fighting it with darkness around her; but at the end when she falls, she's at peace with it, and not reaching for anything; just letting it happen.

2025-03-23 02:18:30 +0000 UTCSomething I find interesting about this episode is... well, I got ENGROSSED with Tarot since watching this, lol. When Lillia is doing a reading for Teen, she has HIM pick cards, not her. She only draws the cards herself when she's doing the reading for herself. This makes me think about when they started and Teen was doing a reading for Agatha, but he drew the cards himself. So were those cards actually representing HIM and not Agatha? The first card drawn was The Chariot. It has many interpretations, but among those I've seen (from thetarotguide website, lol) are that it represents overcoming obstacles, travel, or "you may be acting defensively or aggressively to hide that you are feeling emotionally vulnerable." Interesting. In another guidebook I have (one that came with a deck of cards), there is a bullet point for The Chariot as "In control of your surroundings." IN.TER.EST.ING! The second card he pulls, the Seven of Swords (reversed), ALSO has many interpretations, but some of the ones listed on thetarotguide's website are: "coming clean" and "running away from consequences." In that that other guide I mentioned, a bullet point for this card (reversed) is "facing your own self-deception." I just think that looking deeper into these cards' meanings makes this fantastic episode even MORE fascinating! To Nat: Yes, I am a trial account. Yes I cancelled my trial. I just got impatient to watch these since I love this show so much, lol.

2025-02-19 02:20:50 +0000 UTCBest episode hands down, amaaaazing storytelling for Lilia, I was YELLING the first time I watched it 🥹 The fact that her FIRST lesson still taught her what she needed to understand and utilise her ability for the reading, and that all of her “gaps” has just been her dotting through time only to wrap up perfectly at the end, and close her story 😭 uuugh I love timey wimey stories! Notice that Rio’s card, Death, was Lilia’s Destination 😭 so she knew she was going to die, but chose to willingly to save her coven. Ofc Agatha had to fall in love with the literal manifestation of Death, almost as fitting as Loki falling in love with himself 😂 And I think we got the answer to Billy’s question with his first card, The Magician 👀 famously a witchy boy and the card actually matches his colour scheme in the comics

I was delighted when you recognised Patti in episode 1 as few reactors to the show seemed to know of her beforehand. She's so great in this episode.
