I wish she would react to 13 Hours - a great movie
JarHead0351
2025-03-29 20:51:55 +0000 UTCI will be happy with any of these. Happiest with Sicario. I'm working on Das Boot so I hope it gets a reaction.
YoureMrLebowski
2025-03-28 20:05:45 +0000 UTCSicario did NOT make me like the CIA. It made me hate them even more. I can't imagine that movie making anybody like the CIA.
Thoko
2025-03-28 07:24:17 +0000 UTCOf course there is always an exception to virtually every rule
Thoko
2025-03-28 07:21:34 +0000 UTCDenis Villeneuve is my favorite director, and I've been waiting forever for Sicario to make it onto a poll. However, I've been suggesting Children of Men even longer, it's a better movie, and I think Natalie with her filmmaking background will love the uniqueness of Children of Men in that aspect.

2025-03-28 03:19:50 +0000 UTCAmericans practically act like the American version of The IT Crowd doesn't exist, because the UK version is so much better.
pedantech
2025-03-28 03:12:40 +0000 UTCVilleneuve's films are such a paradox. Not much tends to happen in his movies, and yet there's something about them that draws people in.
Giancarlo Gasparin
2025-03-27 16:49:18 +0000 UTCZero Dark Thirty is CIA propaganda pretending to be a real movie while Sicario is a a real movie that made people like the CIA. It would be a super interesting double feature…
Jacob King
2025-03-27 10:39:11 +0000 UTCyeah sure hahaha
Logan Rodriguez
2025-03-27 10:11:59 +0000 UTCIs this a joke?….
Harry Reece
2025-03-27 08:26:37 +0000 UTCyou make a good point, I personally enjoy the originals and the remakes because I find the changes interesting. That being said there are a lot of knock offs, Ghosts and High Potential just recently. I thought that maybe Nat might have been talking about the original just because she has done some pretty good reactions of Korean movies already.
Baron
2025-03-27 05:52:00 +0000 UTCZero Dark Thirty > Sicario
romeo
2025-03-27 04:03:01 +0000 UTCive never heard of any of these...
Logan Rodriguez
2025-03-27 03:56:20 +0000 UTCReally sucks Oldboy (2003) isn't winning.
Kareem Harper
2025-03-27 03:42:39 +0000 UTCSicarrio and Children of Men have both become super topical in the past month. I’m going to go with Children of Men as the more hopeful.
Jacob King
2025-03-27 03:24:44 +0000 UTCYeah but this is a movie that everyone watched and loved I'll even say it's on par with Forest Gump that's how good it is and Nat's reaction would be amazing. Also it's been a minute since had a history like movie.
Chris Henderson
2025-03-27 03:22:05 +0000 UTCWow that's a very graphic metaphor. Sounds like a movie plot lol
Thoko
2025-03-27 03:08:15 +0000 UTC99% of the time, Americans are always talking about the American version when any remade film or show is being discussed. For example, Americans practically act like the UK Office doesn't exist even though its a better show
Thoko
2025-03-27 03:06:14 +0000 UTCMaybe the theme is just darker films?
Thoko
2025-03-27 03:04:40 +0000 UTCRazor, I agree with your point to a certain extent, but when I try to think from Nat's perspective, she probably has a list of like 50 movies that she is super interested in watching and not all of them are able to be at the top of that list
Thoko
2025-03-27 03:02:45 +0000 UTCI've seen it twice. Once by myself, and once as an uncut reaction on the Popcorn in Bed channel
Thoko
2025-03-27 02:59:43 +0000 UTCIf you do ever watch Oldboy, go with the original Korean version and just KNOW that you are NOT ever going to be ready for this movie.
Jinxter ジンクスたー
2025-03-27 02:55:05 +0000 UTCIs the theme here assertive directors or powerhouse leads? Yes.
Chet Brusk
2025-03-27 02:42:37 +0000 UTCFor Oldboy there are two versions, if you put it in a poll again, you might want to mention which version you are planning on watching. I have never seen the original just the Spike Lee remake with Josh Brolin and Elisabeth Olsen, Samuel L Jackson, Sharlto Copley. 2003 South Korean Movie or 2013 American Remake?
Baron
2025-03-27 01:18:13 +0000 UTCAction film? Ok tell us you haven’t seen it without explicitly telling us
jamie jones
2025-03-26 23:15:59 +0000 UTCPlease God yes, then finish out with Wind River.
Erik Stevenson
2025-03-26 23:06:45 +0000 UTCNat, holy hell, this is a 10/10 poll and every losing candidate needs to be on future polls. I voted for CoM here, just because I utterly adore it, but picking it over Sicario was like having to decide which finger I prefer getting cut off.
Erik Stevenson
2025-03-26 23:04:34 +0000 UTCThis is one of those movies I wish Nat would just go ahead and watch regardless of polls. Clearly she’s interested in it and I don’t think anybody would be upset if she picked more movies for herself.

2025-03-26 22:56:50 +0000 UTCSicario is a great film
Thoko
2025-03-26 22:56:18 +0000 UTCIf you watch 'Sicario' and 'Children of Men' back-to-back, you may need a couple of days off to shake off the hopelessness. If you add 'Oldboy', you may need at least one session of therapy.
Jose 'Nihilus Outis' Morales
2025-03-26 22:21:38 +0000 UTCOh my goodness, so many good choices. Had to go with Zero Dark Thirty, doesn’t look like it’s going to win though :( At least it made it on the poll.
Thomas Wetherell
2025-03-26 21:43:29 +0000 UTCHahaha, unfortunately it wont win :^(
Hertzweil
2025-03-26 21:33:52 +0000 UTCSicario??? Seriously??? The forgettable action film from 2015??? First time I've genuinely been dejected at the results... Children of Men is EASILY one of the greatest films of the 21st century. :^(
Hertzweil
2025-03-26 21:31:36 +0000 UTCNgl was hoping The Iron Claw would be in polls this week.
Chris Henderson
2025-03-26 21:17:43 +0000 UTCThese are all damn good movies (assuming Oldboy is the original, and not the remake--great cast, but dull effort); but, Children of Men is one of the greatest movies I've ever seen. So, Children of Men all the way.
Steve Mercier
2025-03-26 20:20:07 +0000 UTCChildren of Men needs some of these voters that have seen none of them! It's a good list, but i hate anyone to miss CofM!

MightyHobo
2025-03-26 18:03:56 +0000 UTCI think Children of Men is one of the best movies ever made. Gorgeous, terrifying, dystopian and exciting. I cannot praise it enough. I really like Das Boot and Sicario too. All very gloomy films.

2025-03-26 17:39:51 +0000 UTCI don't know if it's Nolan's best movie, but it's easily my favorite. Such a great cast

2025-03-26 17:20:19 +0000 UTCYaaaasss Sicario! Das Boot is a great one as well.
Stephen Lewis
2025-03-26 17:18:38 +0000 UTCfirst time when i'm really hurt and baffled that children of men is losing to anything. but both children and oldboy losing to sicario, bruh.. sicario is just excelling on a technical level & acting wise, there's nothing else special about it, ridiculous
Vlad
2025-03-26 17:12:43 +0000 UTCI voted Sicario, because well … Denis Villeneuve 🤷♂️
David Olden
2025-03-26 17:12:10 +0000 UTCWow too many great choices aaah.
Noctis
2025-03-26 17:04:40 +0000 UTCAlso, having just rewatched Children of Men I wholeheartedly agree with you. I think Michael Caine is the best part of that movie.
mrhalfbit
2025-03-26 16:54:09 +0000 UTCVery good list. Hard to pick a favourite. Children of Men has a cinematography style that still holds up today. Korean Oldboy is a masterpiece. It put Korean cinema on the map for me, and is actually part of thematical vengeance trilogy. Sicario is a masterclass of Denis Villeneuve on how to build up tension, also amazing cinematography. And lastly Das Boot, which is just a classic if you want to watch WW2 movies
Edward Rahardjo
2025-03-26 16:53:24 +0000 UTCYes, hopefully this opens up a Taylor Sheridan wormhole for Nat, it’s all so good!

2025-03-26 16:45:14 +0000 UTCChildren of men is terrible . Das boot and sicario are meh. Zero dark 30 is decent . Old boy with Nick nolte is pretty good . Haven’t seen the Korean version .
Billy B
2025-03-26 16:41:25 +0000 UTCKorean version of Oldboy is a masterpiece

2025-03-26 16:38:34 +0000 UTCYeah, we want Nat to acquire some real trauma.
Walter Lopez
2025-03-26 16:37:39 +0000 UTCGreat options, voting for Children of Men I think.
Jason Gillman
2025-03-26 16:37:17 +0000 UTCOh I absolutely agree. I just have no problem bringing it up to her every now and then so it never completely leaves her mind. I'll keep the hope alive
Kage Beverly
2025-03-26 16:36:52 +0000 UTChope you're talking about the Korean oldboy not the Americanized one
Path
2025-03-26 16:35:07 +0000 UTCPeople not voting for Das Boot have never SEEN Das Boot.
Eric Janssen
2025-03-26 16:32:56 +0000 UTCI picked children of men because it's a gorgeous, moving, introspective story about a world in crisis. If that appeals to you, it's a great way to go. If not, this would be a bad pick.
Steve
2025-03-26 16:29:26 +0000 UTCChildren of Men is one of those movies that I find baffling how it's so highly rated. Terrible writing/plot holes towards the end especially. Sicario is amazing and I hope it gets Natalie to watch Wind River and/or Hell or High Water.
JayF
2025-03-26 16:28:27 +0000 UTCSadly, while absolutely incredible, Iron Claw is never going to win a poll. Our best bet is she just decides to watch it for some reason on the channel, or she watches it in her spare time and reports back how much she loved it/cried/loved it, but definitely cried.
Steve
2025-03-26 16:27:55 +0000 UTCChildren of Men lives rent free in my mind. I know Natalie would love this movie for it's cinematography alone.
Lisa Tosti
2025-03-26 16:22:53 +0000 UTCGood movie, but it’s like the 3rd best movie here tbh
Razor Bikini
2025-03-26 16:20:28 +0000 UTCDamn, great list. It was between Children of Men and Oldboy for me and ended up voting Children of Men. If you ever decide to watch Oldboy, it has to be the Korean version, which is considered a masterpiece. The American remake is terrible.
K.N.
2025-03-26 16:18:13 +0000 UTCDon't really have a big interest in any of these options so just gonna skip this poll :)

Troy
2025-03-26 16:08:54 +0000 UTCIt's a great movie, but I voted for Sicario😁😁.
Troy
2025-03-26 16:08:31 +0000 UTCDang I might actually pick Children of Men instead of Sicario but both of those films would be great. Heck they're all good, though I've never seen Das Boot but heard it's fantastic so you really can't go wrong with this list. Also, for Oldboy, we need to make sure we’re talking about the original Korean film and not the atrocious Spike Lee version...

2025-03-26 16:04:29 +0000 UTCOn no. Oldboy. One, it has to be the Korean version. And second, I don't know if I can watch that movie again. Haha
