Tekken 8: Lidia Gameplay Trailer!
Added 2024-05-27 06:13:20 +0000 UTCIn today's Combo Breaker Finals, Harada and Murray presented the full gameplay trailer for the much-awaited Polish Karateka, Lidia Sobieska! I've been waiting for this all weekend, and happily I was not disappointed. The trailer is almost 3 minutes long and chock full of Lidia's hard-hitting moves, her intros and rival cutscenes and some win screens.
I am sure there are fans of her Tekken 7 look, but I for one am glad she now has the regular footguards instead of the odd sole-less sandal-things she had in T7. I am sure these will return as her throwback/classic costume.
Lidia looks to have gotten back a lot of her moves from before, including the stances (which I really love) and her parries. Not sure if her voice actress is the same, but she sounds very close to before.
Feet-wise, while her CG render/art shows some nice, detailed feet- don't be fooled. Her in-game feet are still the same default feet, which of course we'll replace with our Feet Overhaul mod once she releases and the mod is updated to include her. I cannot wait to play with her, and I'm looking forward to the KOs both she is going to dish out and take once she arrives. For now, we have a nice, long trailer to tide us over, but hopefully she comes to us sooner rather than later.

2024-05-28 13:14:28 +0000 UTCSome thoughts- I am now missing her Tekken 7 P1- it's almost certain it will be back as one of her alternate costumes though. I mainly miss the pants- I loved the high slit up the sides in the pants, which showed off more of her legs. I will surely want to have it modded to be barefooted, or with the regular footguards (I don't like her T7 sandal things). I am sure I am not alone in hoping that Lidia retains her buff physique. Man, the Polish PM can't come soon enough. :)

2024-05-28 01:02:09 +0000 UTCNah, no word yet on when. We should be getting her at the earliest mid to late June or early July, if we follow how long it was for Eddy's release. Let's hope she comes sooner rather than later.

Sadly nope, that's only artwork- her in-game feet are still the crappy default feet. But rest assured, the Feet Overhaul mod will be updated to have Lidia with our improved feet when she arrives (or soon after). We want our Karate Goddess to have her perfect feet heheh
