Early on Lena’s first squad had one a few senior 86 but mostly fresher ones unlike Spearhead which was all veterans. Bloody Regina is Lena’s handle. It leans into what you were talking about with the “they won’t fight for you but they might for me”.

Seen some reactors that get confused because the numerals were translated wrong. Karlstahl (her uncle), he’s pretty much a broken idealist. He’s seen what his nation and the people have become, and after years of being unable to change it, he’s accepted reality. I think the scene between them highlights how he’s always had her best interest at heart, otherwise, how would she have gotten away with her ideal preaching back in cour 1? It was just that he was stuck between his duty and what he truly cared for. His ideology is vain, but he’s a realist too. A little pointer too, but his dirty boots pretty much shows he was one of the survivors that went against the Legion way back then too. And with this episode, volume 2 is complete, with the post-credit scene concluding said volume. The next episodes will be volume 3 territory; volume 2/3 being one arc split into two.
