It isn't necessarily wrong, considering how he treats Max here. Interesting to see how your thoughts will develop :D I love the Shorter appreciation. There will be moments of comedy through this, but I don't think it ever ruins the tone or makes you less invested ( and I love Eiji but the poor sod was asking to be followed )

The title of each episode is a short story. Each story is somehow related to the episode, be it a character’s feelings or the plot itself. This anime has so many well thought out details. I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!

Yeah I think having the anime be set in modern times was a bit of a dumb move. It's best just not to think about it too much and pretend that they don't have cell phones. That's one of the only things I think they kinda messed up in this adaptation.

Agreed that he could have easily just called Shorter, but that is one of the problems with adapting and older story so just ignore those inconsistencies.

Same, alot of people just end their video after 2 min of talk after the episode, but the way these guys analyse and come up with thery's is really great

It's a bit wierd with the modern day part of the show, they don't really use their smartphones like we would (because plot). I often forgot that they even had mobils while watching it.
