Inside Out Full Movie Reaction!

Really love how this movie explores mental health and the importance of the emotions we feel in different situations in our lives!

Inside Out Full Movie Reaction!

This and Up are my favorite Pixar films. Not many films dive into the importance of sadness, most of the time it's viewed as needing to be hidden or we should cover it up but no it's very healthy, all your emotions are. This movie does such a good job with showing the stages of depression, her islands didn't come down all at once, it happened little by little and by the bus scene she doesn't feel anything. The way they explore the mind is just brilliant. In the beginning your so annoyed with Sadness with touching and screwing everything up but even though she couldn't explain it she knew she needed to feel it and it physically drove her to act. Another very sublet moment that they show how unhealthy hiding the sadness is when Joy forces Sadness to stay in the circle and not let it come out. And that's exactly what Joy had to learn and for the first time she feels her own sadness and it's interesting that Joy is the only emotion that has two colors, yellow and "ironically" blue. I too was so suspicious of Bing Bong at first, I thought he was going to be a villain but honestly I think he was just collecting his memories with her, probably was fearful that they would be taken to the dump. I appreciate two things as well, first I like that they don't have them remind her of Bing Bong because it's part of growing up and all those memories were forgotten now anyway, I know I had imaginary friends but I couldn't tell you their names or anything about them, lol. And two I like that they don't move back, when the dad said he missed home too I thought they would go back but they didn't, again that's not how it works. I have always found it interesting that the core emotion for the mom was sadness while the dad's was anger, I've always been curious about their emotions as well. The animation is amazing and I really love the music. For me the movie came out just the right time, they don't talk down to kids and it's a message that's not only good for them but adults as well. I agree with you as well, I don't think this movie sad, yes it breaks your heart to watch Bing Bong sacrifice himself but other then that I don't think it was suppose to be sad, I think it was to help people express their emotions and send a positive message.

Bing bong voluntarily knowing his time has passed and being willing to fade so that Riley could move forward got my husband. I mean not to the extent where he actually cried, but it hit him. And my favorite emotion is Disgust. One because I love Mindy Kailing, but also the character of Disgust was so on point.
