THE WALKING DEAD | 1x1 Reaction | Days Gone Bye

Super excited for you to react to this show! Had to become a Patron just for this lol One of the best shows ever imo. And the 3 most recent spin-offs have been awesome as well. You guys seem observant and nice, I really hope you continue watching this! Timeline: Rick wakes up Day 59 of the apocalypse. So it’s been about 2 months since he was shot and since the virus really took over. He gets to Atlanta the next day. People were definitely wrong about it not being gorey, but I think people are quick to dismiss it because the horror and violence of the show isn’t as important as the aspect of human nature and society, as Phil said. Couple things - In this universe, the concept of zombies and zombie media doesn’t exist. So for Rick seeing someone stumble around at first, doesn’t automatically signal zombie. Or walker, the dead, etc as they call them here. They’ll never use the word zombie. - When Rick left his hospital room, he had to move a hospital bed out the way that was blocking his door. Seems pretty logical to me that a walker probably had easier targets than someone blocked by 2 obstacles, not making any noise as well. And his section in the hospital seemed cleared out and blocked off by those doors that were chained. It was definitely luck but not totally unbelievable. - Season 1 of the show was a weird time because they had a different show runner and also weren’t totally sure if they’d get more seasons. So the rules of the walkers and their intelligence and capabilities is pretty different from the rest of the show. I wouldn’t get caught up in questioning the walkers because they’re smarter in this first season than they will be in the future. And yes they’re in Georgia! Which I love because the south is not an area that gets a lot of exposure in Sci-fi media I feel. And I love the accents lol
