Just basing this on my take when I first saw it (and applying hindsight without spoilers) but it’s always been weird how they talked about the “waffle party” like something was missing. Think about how Cobel was so confused why Mark would pass the opportunity… over some waffles? What’s so special about waffles. No one gets that excited about the eggs 😂. Also … the bed. All their other rewards happen in the office. This one is in that house in Perpetuity. Seeing him put the mask on and not seem surprised was kind of a “ah ha” moment. Lastly, I think it all worked into the plan. He sneaks off while the … waffle party is going on.
