2025-04-25 04:28:10 +0000 UTCThe scene with Maggie and Negan in the cell is one of the best on the show, in my opinion. Phenomenal acting by both. But my favorite thing that I think most people don’t catch is that Negan says, “It wasn’t supposed to be like this” as he goes back in his cell. Carl asked him in person and in his letter “Was it supposed to be like this?” and asked if that was the person Negan intended to be. Negan had never directly answered the question, if I remember right, but he was answering in that moment.

2025-03-30 22:13:13 +0000 UTCThe rest of this season is amazing. One thing to note is the potential guilt both maggie and daryl might feel for what happened to Rick. Daryl especially has a habit of blaming himself for people's deaths, Sophia, Beth, Glenn and now Rick.. Can't wait for the mid season finale AND finale lmao, to think this was only episode 5. Wish I could experience this the same way you guys did. This was around the time AMC started spoiling EVERY major plot point before it happened to generate hype lmao. They advertised this episode and season as Rick's "departure" and they continued to do the same for future episodes and seasons plots and revelations. You're very lucky to not know ANYTHING to come lmao. I think they asked Glenn and Carl's actors for sashas scene but both declined. I think Glenn just didn't want to be known as "Glenn" in a sense rather than having a bad experience on the show. Carl declining of course because of how they treated him just a season ago. Andreas actress doesn't approve of the shows staff either. And Lori was part of a group of the cast who threatened to quit after season 1 which is part of why they killed her off so early in season 3... which is the same reason they killed dale in season 2 bc his actor was also in that group. The shows not got the best rep with staff treatment lmao 🤣

2025-03-29 11:30:52 +0000 UTCFor a very long time, I felt that Sasha was not the best choice for someone to bring back for this. I would’ve preferred Carl, Lori, Glenn, even Dale. But in full reflection, it does make sense that it was Sasha at the time, because of her Negan -era sacrifice and the motivation that gave Rick to basically sacrifice his life for his family. You also did have Morgan, Lori, & Abraham’s voices speaking to him in his hallucinations. I also think they did ask Chandler come back for something in Ep5, but he declined.

As we got Ep4’s ending and leading into this Ep5, the big question for us was: “How are they going to do it with Andrew Lincoln’s departure? this aired in early November 2018, and the night that this aired the after show announced some things related to Rick’s future in the TWD universe that we all kept in mind as the TWD episodes progressed from here.
