It always amuses me going back to watch the later seasons of iCarly and seeing them try to hide the fact that he is quite obviously built and would not be overpowered by the girls.

Fun fact I just remembered as soon as you mentioned Freddy explaining the "in 5,4,3,2-" bit. In the recent Mr Beast livestream (of which I was there lol, I need to humblebrag for context), RIGHT before the livestream began, Chris began to count down like that, and then promptly began singing the iCarly theme song off screen. Due to how nice he was to all the contestants, Chris is the best member of that team, but that tidbit just confirms it. It's crazy how those guys basically just became the iCarly gang IRL and actively acknowledge it 😆Anyways, good luck with the rest of Sam and Cat, godspeed to you

I liked iCarly when it was on, but not enough to make sure I watched every episode, and I only ever saw bits and pieces of Victorious, and didn't even know Sam and Cat was a thing until well after it had already ended. I've been enjoying your videos on them quite a bit, I just don't end up feeling like I have a lot to say about them because of my lack of investment in the different series. Still, your videos on them have been great, and it's nice to watch them in chunks like this on Patreon since the finished products tend to be so long haha. I hope you take a well deserved break when all of this is done - it's clear that all of it has taken a lot of work.

But I think Jade deserved her own episode rather than being the focus of the first part of this episode then pushed aside for the boys. Here's my thought: Sam and Cat decide to do a new advert for their babysitting service, and they need both a jingle and for somebody to do good camera work for them. Each girl brings in the boy they know is good for the job, but for whatever reason, Cat struggles with the filming side of things and Sam with the music side. Each is forced to interact with the other's boy. Jealousy grows. Cat decides to smooch Freddie to make Sam jealous. Then we continue as the episode did. And they can have the daft tuna subplot if they need to.

It's always been something I watched with my very Yorkshire Dad alongside what foot in the grave and only fools and horses, what a niche thing to reference in a kids show 😅. I really like the running gag of " did you hear blank died" the end especially got me. I really didn't realise how off the rails this show got but then again I did grow up in the era of random = funny. Physically cringed at the boy sweat, but after that pure sigh of disgust you let out (it was beautiful) I was convinced it would end with Sam and cat also in bikinis so at least there's that?

2022-12-13 11:15:35 +0000 UTC(i didn't wanna be That guy & comment this, but upon 2nd thought, it's probably better u get this sorta comment now instead of getting it a hundred times over & over on the final product) 2 be perfectly fair, most institutions & people Are outwardly transphobic (esp teenagers in middle & high school settings, & ESP esp in the 2010s, b4 the transgender tipping point) so it's not hard 2 see why ppl wld project a transsexual experience on2 robbie, & honestly him being trans would be an explanation (beside the textual 'he's just the worst' reasoning) of a lot of unproportional mistreatment he gets? (being put in the female prison or having 2 assert he's a boy R both obviously transgender coded in text, even if that wasn't the intention of the writers) like, obviously that's not the intention of the show, it's just doing the "he's effeminate & nerdy" thing, but functionally that doesn't make him much different than being the butt of the joke as a transsexual person (either way, he's being targeted & specifically treated poorly bc of his inability 2 meet male expectations) i think trans theories/headcanons (& queer headcanons in general) R pretty fun & interesting in this context (specifically 4 male characters like robbie who regularly have their masculinity questioned) bc they're true 2 queer kids' experience of being ostracized & harassed & otherwise targeted 4 "no reason", & young people seem 2 find some sort of comfort in it. do i think it's silly & ridiculous, sure, but i also understand why kids do it, esp w/ characters like robbie i absolutely love the video so far, & can't wait 4 you 2 escape this miniseries so you can make other content that doesn't force u 2 engage w/ nickelodeon sitcoms anymore. the evil quinton clips R hilarious, i love the "there's more than 1 golden girl?"
