Well, I for one am always up for a history lesson. Any chance this is dealing further with Rome's decline? The anti-SJWs are pretty obsessed with that, after. I just think the early medieval period is fascinating!

But I can see for you how it could be never-ending - TL;DR (Richard Hammond and Jeremy Clarkson have a lot to answer for with this young man, I believe) has responded to something of yours, then you respond to something of his... and so on and so on.

I agree that drama is an un-fun distraction from actual issues, but at the same time, when it's done well it can be worth doing, and I think you do a good job of it, since you tend to focus pretty well on ideas and the substance of what people say. It might feel kinda lame at times to go after people, but if you remain clear and resist the desire to get hyperbolic with baseless accusations, it's very interesting to watch. You also do a pretty good job I think of showing how individuals can be representative of larger trends throughout online communities, so I don't think this counts *just* as character assassination.
