Someone at work was spreading rightwing talking points today, I spoke against it. A few years back the same thing happened at another work and I said nothing. I think you and people like you changed me and I thank you for it.

Enjoyed this. As always you put a sound analysis in a palatable package with your great voice. I also liked how you addressed legitimate anxieties over immigration in the working class and hinted at the proper recourse ;). However I would say that governments and corporate interests do have a reason to support immigration because of the fact that it has long term positive effects on economies despite short term losses for the working class. As you said though the answer isn't to blame immigrants but the system in which that is allowed to happen.

The point you illustrate to me every time you do one of these is how much legwork and an appreciation for nuance is required to fact check these dishonest propagandists. The idea that immigrants are a long-term drain on society just sounds wrong on its face yet going about finding their sources, reading those sources, and understanding how they skew their data leads to a lot of lost time debunking a liar who has already released 3 more videos while you do all that research. I'm happy that someone is doing all of this, and I wish more YouTubers would take part so we could get more of these studies debunked at a quicker rate. Many thanks for your effort. Maybe someone will see these videos and start doing the same thing? That would be grand.

Great video! Another point, if I'm not mistaken, is that BPS seems to be assuming that all of the studies he cites assume immigrants are from "Non-Western countries". That's non-sense, considering I'm an immigrant from one EU country to another :P

6.24 whole sargons of mocking the birdman? And I thought today was gonna be dull.
