Then, it's time for a conversation with the excellent Mark Lee Gardner, author of many titles about the history of the American West, including the recent The Earth Is All That Lasts, which is about Lakota history and the battle of the Little Bighorn.

Sadly I haven't had the time in my adult years to go but listening to you talk about your trip is motivating me to make some time! Thank you so much for what you do! Edit after finishing: love the part where you talked about different aspects of history and thought I'd recommend one of my favorite YouTube channels, 'Tasting History with Max Miller'. I think you'd like it a lot of you have time!

The mix of your intro on your trip and thoughts on your trip to the black hills was a great way to open the episode, interview was great as well, have had a recent fascination with the American western period as of late so this audio feast came at a great time. Will have to check out the books mentioned to fuel my interest. Am pretty sure I speak for everyone here when I say don’t worry about the mini episodes being longer than you envisage, the more the merrier!
