Daniele in Cucina

Today it's 108 F where I'm at. Summer temperatures are still in full swing, so it's sangria-time. There are 3 zillion versions of sangria, with each one saying they are the one and only.  This is a simple one I make.

They make it in Italy, but I'm sure it's copied from Spain. A wonderful invention! :)

I'm from Spain, the southern part where Sangria comes from. For a second I thought you were going to cook it, which would be a big no-no!! You're so right, you can put whatever fruit you want ut you should put jerez (Spanish brandy) and table wine! I have seen people adding cold water which I was so happy to see you didn't do!! Is there the equivalent drink in Italy (I'm surprised I haven't seen it)? I have had aperol spritz and it's varieties but not the red wine cold drink in italy
