Episode 58: Wounded Knee

This is one of the most emotionally intense episodes I've ever recorded. My voice cracks in a few spots.

Thank you, Jon! I appreciate your words

History on Fire

Thank you for taking the time to tell this story, I’m left thinking about each episode I finish for the rest of the day. I’ve done 23 laps around the sun and the fact that I’ve never learned about what happened at wounded knee is kinda shocking to me, after going through the American school system, and the US army. In fact while I believe I may have learned it at some point and forgot it, at some point but, listening to the episode 4 I had the recollection that it was actually battle, and the shocking realization listening to episode 5, as you’re describing the conditions prior to Wounded Knee, and the realization that they were conditions to a massacre not a battle was truly horrifying. More horrifying still was the realization that the attempt but the Army and United States to paint it as a battle, still effected me to this day, to learn men were awarded Medal of Honors for such an event made me disgusted. This is such a great podcast series ❤️

History on Fire

This series is right up there with the greats, wrath of the khans, etc. Also is Danielle saying “epic sex session” ringing in anyone elses head at an alarming frequency?
