The whole review reminded me of "The Looking-Glass War". If a person doing a re-imagining hates the source material, it shows.

2022-10-22 20:22:45 +0000 UTCI can't help but think that the author actually loves the original but is super pissed that he does ๐ reminds me a lot of my attitude toward power rangers when I was 13 and still loved it but felt incredibly uncool because of it. I would give my younger cousins crap for wanting to watch it and "suffer" through it. Oh the horror.
