Chapter 118 [Vault]

[3rd POV]

After returning to the Mikaelson estate with Esther's body, Valkyrie had made her way to her room, deciding that she had enough family drama for the day. She knew that Rebekah would be cross with her for a little while, killing their mother without her being there, but Valkyrie was not about to let the woman live and cause the “Death” of her brother. 

Her sister would likely be trying to figure out what happened to the remaining White Oak, which would lead the Salvatores to the now burnt bridge and sign, so she would be dealing with that sooner or later as well. 

At the moment she was sitting in her bed, reading through the three essences she got with a pleased smile on her face. As they were…good, very good.

[Assimilate?] [Y/N]

‘Can I assimilate while asleep, system?’ Valkyrie asked the system inwardly, causing it to respond. 

[Affirmative]

‘Alright, go ahead and assimilate once I fall asleep’ Valkyrie said, as she was ready to sleep, and would rather do this while asleep so as to not cause any sort of commotion. 

[As you wish host]

‘Time to get some shuteye’ Valkyrie thought, as she laid back in her bed, and slowly shut her eyes, as sleep began to overtake her. 

At the same time, her body began to softly glow a golden color, as a new source of power began to enter her, a source of power that was reliant on the user's own life force, and with how powerful Valkyrie’s life force was…her chi was quite incredible.

[The next morning]

Slowly Valkyrie began to stir, as her eyes began to open, a soft yawn escaping her lips as she began to sit up, stretching slightly as she felt the new power filling her being, the Chi that she had awoken. She also could feel the memories of Deathstroke in her head, but not all of them were useful, so they were “Eliminated”, well, sort of. 

Getting to her feet, Valkyrie stretched as she walked into the bathroom. 

She exited the same bathroom around 30 minutes later, after taking a nice warm morning shower, dressed and ready for the day. She had planned on visiting the Little Witch and seeing if she wanted to learn some magic, as well as tell her siblings about the fact that she had destroyed the Wickery Bridge and its sign, eliminating the last of the white oak, or at least, most of it. 

Walking downstairs, she was greeted with the sight of her family sitting around the living room. 

“Hmm? Is something wrong, sister, brothers?” Valkyrie asked as she looked over them. 

“Sister, we’ve found out something….concerning. It seems that the tree that created us, wasn’t the last, and that there was another. Something was created with that tree, and we are trying to figure out what it was, lest we get killed by whoever finds it first” Elijah replied as Valkyrie raised an eyebrow. 

“You mean the Wickery Bridge and its sign? I destroyed those yesterday before I killed Esther” Valkyrie replied as she bit into her morning toast. 

Upon hearing this, her siblings all looked at her with wide eyes. 

“How did you figure it out? And why didn’t you tell us!?” Rebekah yelled as she got to her feet. She had been worried this entire time, only to find out that her sister had gotten rid of it already. 

“I used a bit of magic to track it down. Turns out the wood is quite magical in nature, so finding it wasn’t difficult. I burnt all of it, including its ashes, besides a small splinter that I plan on using for a ritual in the future. As for not telling you, I decided it was best to wait until after Esther was dead to tell you all” Valkyrie replied with a shrug, as she ate her breakfast. 

“And you waited until today because?” 

“Cause I wanted to sleep. And because you were all preoccupied with Esther and I didn’t want to intrude on that. But as I said, you won’t need to worry about the wood anymore. What you do need to worry about, is the little Doppelganger and the Salvatore’s. They’re not going to stop until they kill you, even if they will fail. And that will become…problematic the longer they’re left alone” Valkyrie replied, as the Salvatore’s were strangely resourceful, albeit annoying. 

“And how do we do that, sister? Niklaus needs the doppelganger to turn more hybrids” Kol asked, knowing that Niklaus wanted to make more hybrids in the future. 

“It’s quite simple really. Make a deal, an actual good one. Like we protect her, her friends, and her boytoys, and in return she supplies Klaus with a certain amount of her blood every week. Hell, we can even pay for it, as I can only assume that you have amassed billions of dollars, right?” Valkyrie asked as they nodded. 

“If we were to reveal our wealth, we’d be the richest people on the planet, sister” Elijah responded with a nod, as they, in total, were worth over 750 billion dollars. Making them by far the richest people on the planet. And that wasn’t including the countless priceless artifacts they had, and all sorts of other things. 

“Well there you go. We protect her, and pay her, and in return, she gives Nik some blood. Seems quite fair to me” Valkyrie said with a small smile, as the deal was fair. It would also mean no more fighting between the two groups. 

But Valkyrie had a feeling that wouldn’t last long once Silas and that shit show started. They’d inevitably want the cure for one reason or another, and would unleash Silas on the world, which would then bring Qetsiyah down and so on and so forth. So, Valkyrie already planned on eliminating Silas before it can become an issue, as well as stop all future threats, like the supposed “Devil”. She’d leave Kai Parker alone though, as they should be able to deal with him, and he was needed for the Twins to be born. 

Well, that and the man wasn’t even remotely as dangerous as the rest of them. 

“And would the bitch even take it? She’s much more like Katherine than the Salvatores realize” Rebekah asked with a scoff, not believing that they would actually agree with that. 

“And even if she did, the Salvatore’s, especially the older one, wouldn’t. Best to wipe them all out and be done with it” Kol replied with a shrug, as he couldn’t care about them any less. 

“Yes well, I want my brother to have his chance at a Pack, so we’ll give him one. Ah, but in return, Nik, there will be no more daggering, no more snapping your siblings necks, and none of that shit, alright?” Valkyrie asked her brother, her eyes glowing a deep crimson color as he nodded, not showing how his inner wolf was quite…terrified of her, almost like it was submitting to an Alpha or something. 

“Good, now, if you will be needing me, I will be teaching a rather adorable little witch” Valkyrie said with a grin as she walked off, her siblings watching her.

“What little witch?” Rebekah asked with a frown as Valkyrie left the mansion. 

“The Bennett one sister. It would seem our older sister is quite interested in her” Kol responded with a smirk, as Rebekah looked to the door with a raised eyebrow, before speaking. 

“Huh…that would be an interesting sight to see. A Bennett and a Mikaelson…”

‘Good for you, sister. Let us hope she doesn’t break your heart…’

That’s the end of the chapter!

Basically just a short chapter of her talking with her siblings and that’ll be it. This’ll be the last update for this vault fic for a while, most likely. I’ll be moving to another vault fic next, and then get that one to around the same chapters as this one, that way you get more to read from it. 

It’ll likely be the 100 fic.
