Chapter 36 [Vault]

Title - I Am Bonnie Bennett with a System?! | Chapter 3

[POV - 3rd] [Location: Mystic Falls]

It was the day after the carnival incident, and currently Bonnie was in Mystic Grill, eating. Sipping on her coffee, Bonnie stopped when she noticed Stefan walk up to table and sit across from her.

“I’m assuming you want me to make Caroline a daylight ring?” Bonnie started, causing Stefan to blink in slight surprise before nodding “Emily made mine and Damon’s, so, I am assuming she has the spell somewhere in her grimoire”

“She does, I learnt it last night. It should be easy enough, just meet me at Caroline’s house later. I’ve already got the ring ready” Bonnie replied, causing Stefan to raise an eyebrow “You are oddly calm about all of this”

“She’s my best friend, Stefan. Her becoming a vampire, won’t change that. It takes a lot more than that for my mind to change. And, I’ve come to some…realizations recently, that have sort of changed my view on things. Now, leave me alone, so I can sip my coffee in peace” Bonnie said, causing Stefan to crack a smile and leave.

Sitting and drinking her coffee, Bonnie began to think to herself ‘That daylight ring spell was surprisingly quite easy to learn. I guess Bonni-I didn’t really use my potential to it’s maximum, did I? Plus, having the knowledge of Dumbledore probably helped a lot’

[Dungeon Quest - Dungeon quests are specialized quests that make a sort of miniature space for the user to fight a special opponent, by defeating the opponent, the user completes the quest. These quests are always available to the user. Should the user die in the dungeon, the user will return to the real world, with the dungeon quests being locked for one day, and the user will be exhausted]

‘That’s…neat. New too. The first quest seems easy, as I was going to do that either way, so I’ll accept that. The only dungeon quest I am 100% certain I can do, is the lockwood wolves. The other two are a bit risky, and I’m not entirely confident in defeating them. They’re way to fast for me to stop, not easily at least’ Bonnie thought, as she payed for her food, and left.

‘Let’s start with the lockwood wolves first’ Bonnie thought, as she looked around, noticing no one was looking, before pressing on Lockwood wolves, and disappearing in an instant.

Blinking, Bonnie looked around in surprise at her surroundings. She was in a seemingly large white room, with nothing but the two people she was meant to fight. Both were snarling, with glowing werewolf eyes. Seeing this, Bonnie deadpanned, knowing exactly how she could kill them.

“Avada Kedavra!” “Avada Kedavra!” Bonnie said, without even a moment of hesitation. The two werewolves couldn’t even react, before a green beam hit each of them, killing them instantly. Bonnie blinked as she returned back to her car, with a notification in front of her.

‘That was…very underwhelming’ Bonnie thought with a sweatdrop, as she claimed her rewards, before deciding to just say “fuck it” and consumed all three of her new tickets.

‘Well…damn. Assimilate them’ Bonnie thought, bracing herself for the pain that was inevitably coming. And just as she expected, pain assaulted her, but she was much more used to it now, and her occlumency was becoming stronger and stronger the more people she assimilated, thus, the pain didn’t last nearly as long as before.

As the pain ceased, she sighed as she felt the emotions of those around her, probably to a higher extent than even Musa herself. Afterall, she already has a lot of other magical power, that was probably boosting it further.

Beginning to drive to Caroline’s home, Bonnie began to think about the new universe she was pulling from ‘Using the legendary ticket or the selective one is…tempting. But I think it’d be much smarter to keep them until a truly powerful world comes around. I’m already a powerful witch with a lot of potential, no point in wasting these tickets just to get more’ Bonnie thought as she began to pull into Caroline’s driveway.

Getting out of her car, Bonnie walked up to her door and knocked. ‘I guess I’ll just have to hope for a decent reward from the wheel. Another witch wouldn’t be bad, Davina, Esther, Qetsiyah, Freya, Kai, dahlia, literally any of them’ Bonnie thought, as the door opened to reveal Stefan standing there.

“You’re here, good. She’s upstairs” Stefan said, causing Bonnie to nod and follow after him.

“Hey Care, you alright?” Bonnie asked as she stepped into Caroline’s room, where the girl was sitting in her bed. All the blinds were closed, windows covered, and lights out, all so that Caroline could be safe in her own room.

“Well I can’t walk in the sun, I can’t properly talk to Matt, and my emotions are all over the place, what do you think?” Caroline said sarcastically, before a groan escaped her.

“Sorry! It’s just my emotions are-” “All over the place. It’s natural Care, all vampires get their emotions boosted, just ask Stefan”

“It’s true. It takes a bit to control and get used to, but having heightened emotions is a part of being a vampire” Stefan said with a nod of confirmation.

“So, where’s the ring I’m wearing for the rest of my life?” Caroline asked, causing Bonnie to smile and bring it out.

It was rather large, with a lapis lazuli in the center of it. It was…admittedly quite ugly, even to Bonnie.

“Wow that is…” “Awful? Yeah, I know. I’d have changed it if I could, but I’m not quite there yet. When I have the chance, I’ll whip up a better-looking one for you” Bonnie cut her off with a chuckle, knowing that Caroline wasn’t happy with it.

“Really?” Caroline asked in surprise. She was expecting Bonnie to be more mad at her, considering what she did to the innocent man the previous night.

“Really. Now, let me finish this spell, and then you’ll be able to walk in the sun again. Oh, and move back a little, unless you wanna get burnt” Bonnie said, as she flicked her wrist, causing the curtains to open slightly, allowing the sun to hit the ring that was now laying on the bed.

Caroline flinched away, while Stefan sat up. Looking at the ring, Bonnie sighed before softly chanting the spell under her breath.

The spell itself was…really really easy, and barely drained any magic from her. Although that’s probably more so because she’s the host of the dragon flame, and has the power of Albus, Snape, and others within her.

The chanting didn’t last any longer than 20 seconds before Bonnie opened her eyes and softly smiled “It’s done, go ahead and put it on, Care”

“Really? That’s it?” Caroline asked in confusion, having expected something more…well, magical.

“Yep. Not all spells are able to be seen, and not all spells are…magical looking. This is one of those spells” Bonnie said with a smile, before watching as Caroline slipped the ring onto her left pointer finger.

“Alright then, you ready?” Bonnie asked, looking to Caroline who nodded hesitantly. Seeing this, she smiled before pulling the curtain all the way open, allowing the sun to beam against Caroline.

Caroline flinched slightly, before blinking “It-it worked” She whispered in surprise, before a wide smile formed on her face.

Jumping to her feet, she pulled Bonnie into a hug “Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!” She said happily, while Bonnie was groaning.

“C-care, yo-you’re cru-crushing me” Bonnie groaned, causing Caroline to blink before letting her go.

“Sorry” Caroline said looking to the side.

“It’s fine, just be careful next time. I might be a super cool all-powerful witch, but even I can get crushed by your vamp-strength” Bonnie said, sighing as she caught her breath.

“Now, I’ll leave you in the capable hands of Stefan, while I will enjoy the sanctuary of my home, and my books” Bonnie said with a smile, as she gave Stefan a nod, before walking out of the room.

‘That went well’

Driving on her way home, Bonnie smiled at the notifications she had gotten.

She wasn’t sure how she did the second one, but she attributed it to the dragon flame. She also wasn’t sure what it did to the ring she had given Caroline, nothing bad she hopes.

‘Well, now I guess I should use these, shouldn’t I? I doubt all quests will be this easy, as this is more than likely only going to be this easy for one or two more quests’ Bonnie thought as she got out of her car, and walked up to her home.

Walking inside, she tossed her bag onto her counter before flopping onto her couch.

‘Alright, use 2 UCT’s system’ Bonnie thought, deciding to get this over now.

‘...Well…damn’ Bonnie thought dumbly, not exactly sure how to react to this. Davina was pretty good, as far as she remembers. She was smart, had a good amount of knowledge, and was pretty powerful, magically.

It was Silas who got her attention though. His knowledge of magic (TVD magic) far surpassed her own current knowledge, AND he was an Immortal, the first at that. Something like that could be an absolutely insane combination with her being a witch.

‘...System, if I assimilate him, will I keep my magic?’ Bonnie inwardly asked, wanting to make sure before she went through with this.

[Affirmative. The users magic will not disappear, even if they get a species that normally would not allow it’s existence. The system protects the user from such things. However, it is up to the user to deal with the real world consequences, such as the witches reactions to it, should they find out]

‘Hmm, I see. The only witch that could be a real problem from that, is Qetsiyah herself, and she’s not exactly around right now. Just as Silas is currently rotting away, with the cure locked up as well. That thing shouldn’t be a problem either, as long as no one finds out’ Bonnie thought, before breathing in.

‘Assimilate them both system’

The first half was written a while ago, so bear with me on the quality lol.

The next chapter will be after her assimilation and will explore some more OC stuff that’ll happen as a side effect of the changes Bonnie has already made.

Also, I’ve been thinking of using a certain hot Petrova as a love interest, and I was wondering on y’all’s thoughts about that.

I plan on Bonnie getting with 2 or 3 people, if that. Rebekah was one idea I’ve had, Katherine another, and then maybe even Freya or Hayley? Idk about Hayley, as I’m not sure how I feel about writing a romance with someone who is pregnant with another’s kid…it could be interesting though. Maybe a different vault fic? There was an idea I had involving someone who’d be a mass combination of many different were-creatures.

Rebekah and Katherine are both very tempting though.

Who do y’all think she should get with?
