Chapter 45 [Vault]

Title - The 100: The Hidden King | Chapter 3

___________________________________________

[3rd POV] [Location: ???????????]

Time had flown by as Eivor continued to rule her budding kingdom. Two months in fact. During this time, a lot had happened, and the kingdom had grown by over double.

For one, Jon and the expedition had…taken care of the cannibals. Quite easily, just as Eivor had wished of them. The village was no more, and all useful objects from it were scavanged, taken, and taken back to Eivor’s main village in Kentucky.

Jon’s first meeting with the different villages in Ohio and Indiana had went…quite well actually. Almost impressively well. Eivor wasn’t sure if it was because it was a handsome man that was giving them the offer or what, but they all ended up agreeing to join her after a few days of contemplation. It might also be the fact that Jon has a massive direwolf…but that’s beside the point.

With the assimilation of these 6 new villages, Eivor’s Kingdom had grown by around 3,000 new members. Several hundred of which wished to join her army, becoming the protectors of their villages/local regions.

With the news of new villages joining them, trade began between the various villages in Eivor’s Kingdom, information began to spread, and other villages began to learn of her existence.

With Kentucky, Ohio, and Indiana under her control, Eivor began to send more and more teams out to assimilate and offer villages to join her kingdom. What exactly was the offer that so many seemed to agree too?

A simple one:

Should they join Eivor’s kingdom, they’d officially be under her, and her army's protection. Any attack, slight, offense, etc, against that individual village, is the same as doing it to her and her entire Kingdom.

Should they join, they will be given new and superior teachings, technology, farming methods, building methods, foraging methods, and a whole host of other bonuses. They would be expected to share theirs as well, but the return was quite large for these small villages.

Should they join, then the leader of the village will effectively be in charge of a small “region” of her Kingdom, with her having men watching over, and teaching the leader of said village how to properly rule.

Should they join, then roads and new forms of travel will be set up from each of the villages in the region, and even to Eivor’s main village, once she gains access to enough people and technology.

And other bonuses, etc mattering on the region, what the village has, how large the village is, etc.

Said offer was…quite alluring to the villages, due to them being quite small in comparison to her. As from what Eivor had come to discover, a lot of the country's populace was centered where the show took place, as it was the biggest coalition of villages in the country, if not the world. Due to this, that region had thousands, if not tens of thousands of people.

The rest of the country had more than that, but they were far far more spread out.

This gave Eivor…quite the advantage. As Lexa and her coalition were so focused on their own bullshit politics, that they weren’t even trying to invite and grow their numbers, given Eivor an easy way of getting more and more villages under her rule.

And…getting more she did.

After realizing this fact, she spread her expeditions further and further. And made another 3 expedition teams. One headed by Arya, one by Robb, one by Jon, and one by Ned when the man was free.

Arya had started in Illinois. Her expeditions brought fruit and further recruited another 3 villages, and bringing Illinois under Eivor’s rule. However, she couldn’t keep a good eye on it just yet, as she didn’t have the numbers. But the villages would cover that until she was ready.

After Arya recruited the Illinois villages into the fray, she moved and began to focus on Wisconsin, where she is currently located. Eivor having already received word that there is at least 2 villages in the state, with potentially even more hidden.

Robb had gone west, going to Missouri and Arkansas. Both of which had a couple of villages each. Arkansas had a total of 3, while Missouri had 2.

They were a bit harder to recruit into the fray, due to the language barrier, but Robb got it done eventually. And after his first month of traveling, he managed to bring Missouri and Arkansas into the fray.

Currently, he was in Louisiana, trying to start talks with the three villages in the region. Although two of them were being…difficult, due to a long-lasting rivalry between the two.

Jon after recruiting Ohio and Indiana, then moved a bit further West to Iowa, which had taken the longest to explore so far, due to it undergoing a rather big snowstorm. Thankfully though, he eventually managed to find the lone village in the region, with it quickly joining after hearing words of things like food, which they were…lacking to say the least.

Currently, he was up in Minnesota, trying to find the villages of said region.

The last, and most successful of the bunch was Ned. The man went South, starting with Tennessee.

The state in question had a total of 5 villages, the most so far. Each of which had roughly two to three hundred villagers. The first 3 villages had readily joined after some talks, while the latter two took a bit longer, due to their previous conflicts with each other, but eventually joined after promises of trade and improved military strength.

He had accomplished this all in a couple of weeks, thanks to Rodrik traveling with him, and helping him, alongside recruits that were interested in joining an expedition + recruitment team.

After bringing Tennessee under heel, he soon turned his sights Georgia and Alabama. Each of which had two villages.

Sadly one of the Alabama villages had to be…cleansed, after Eivor got word that they were abducting young women from the nearby village and…well, let’s just say they weren’t good people and leave it at that.

The other village readily joined their saviors and the one that cleansed the world of their filthy neighbors. The other two villages were easy enough thanks to the offers of trade and information.

Most villages seemed to join after the promises of trade, information, and protection. Eivor was pretty sure it was because of bandits and wandering grounders.

That, and she realized that a lot of these villages were on their last legs for one reason or the other. And she kind of just came in and saved their asses. 97 years was a lot of time, but not enough to truly understand what the hell they were doing. As some of them couldn’t even properly hunt without risk of dying.

This also made Eivor realize why this world was chosen. It wasn’t really because it was one she recognized but because it would be really…really easy to conquer. The villages (besides the coalition) were so spread out, and little in numbers, that an offer like Eivors, was simply too good to pass up on.

Of course, Eivor new that once she got to the lands of the Coalition, it would start getting much harder. As they actually had good numbers, and proper information. Far more so than any of the villages she had recruited so far, even if her numbers had jumped from roughly 6,000 (after the initial villages in Kentucky) to over 15,000.

Primarily thanks to her literally taking over a total of 10 states, with 3 more on the way.

(The only exception to his map, is the Ice Kingdom, which is quite long, and is near Michigan/Detroit)

Ned had returned back to the village after the fruitful expedition, which even included some new villagers. Said village had quadrupled in size and was made larger and larger by the day. The builders focusing on building barack-like buildings for the new summon that Eivor was going to be using soon.

Besides recruiting and taking some new States for herself. Eivor had continued to recruit people into her army, with new grounders that wished to join. Jumping her army to roughly 7,000 in total 5,000 of her own soldiers, and 2,000 grounders, some of which were women.

The training for said army was going quite well with the aid of Rodrick, Ned, and those they cleared to be trainers. Each village had a trainer specially picked by Ned, and Rodrick, before being accepted by Eivor.

With this addition, her army's capabilities in terms of skill, had been rapidly jumping and improving. Mainly because of the grounders and their surprising talent for improvisation and adapting to their new teachings. With some of the older and more skilled grounders, even being enough to contend against Robb in skill.

Speaking of training, Eivor herself had continued her training with her soldiers, with her skills improving through the training with some of her grounder soldiers, the more skilled ones.

With this training, she was even more deadly than a grounder, while still having the knowledge a grounder would have in regards to the surroundings.

She had also begun to have ravens or crows trained for spreading information and sending messages, which had went quite well. And thanks to this, their information network was probably the best on the planet, without counting radios and such at least.

Besides the training, conquering, and rapid growth of her kingdom, not a ton of stuff had happened.

Currently, Eivor was in an opening near her first village, which had been duped as “Varin” which was related to her last name. She was in a large, vast plain like opening, perfect for summoning her armies.

Eivor watched as a paper began to glow into being in front of her very eyes. She knew that the 100 was landing thanks to her scouts sending ravens about the ball of fire falling from the sky, aka the dropship.

Originally she planned on getting involved during season 1, but she realized rather quickly that there wasn’t much of a point in that. As season 1 was almost entirely about the inner struggles in the camp, and only a bit of it was about the grounders and Anya. Season 2 however, would be a perfect time to get involved and travel down to D.C to meet with Lexa and her little coalition.

Grasping the paper, she slowly looked over the words, as a wide grin formed on her face.

Armies you may select.

Macedonian Army (334 BCE) Size - 37,000 troops of various ranks. And…Alexander the Great.

Eivor didn’t even need to look at the others on the list. Alexander the great alone was way too good to pass up on. He was probably the best general in all of history, with him spreading his influence across the world. In fact, as far as she remembers, the man had NEVER lost in a battle.

He would be an absolutely gigantic boon for future wars, especially in the worlds she plans on traveling to in the future.

Lifting her finger, she grinned and pressed down on the words. The second she did, she watched as a bright glow filled her surroundings, as more and more soldiers were summoned, all in lines, all of them dropping to a knee the second they were summoned.

Watching the summons continue, she grinned in happiness. She knew they also came with all the rations needed, but she’d made sure to have her people save up as many supplies as possible for future summons.

“My King” The final summon said, as he dropped to a knee, a smile on his face. His one blue eye and one brown eye shined in excitement.

Alexander the Great was there in the flesh, ready to serve his new King.

Eivor could only smile, as she knew that her conquest of this world would now go much faster than before, with the aid of arguably the greatest conqueror in all of history.

‘Soon I’ll be ready to get involved with canon. Soon, my conquest will truly begin’

That’s the end of the chapter!

Next chapter should be roughly the same length, with her next and final summon before she gets involved showing up.

I tried finding how many grounders there were in the coalition, but there weren’t really any definitive numbers…so I’m just going to say it’s in the tens of thousands.

I skipped most of the initial growth as it was…boring to be honest. I wrote out it more thoroughly at the beginning, but I found it both boring to write, and read. As most of it was the same thing over and over. Primarily because her offer is just way too good to pass upon on for any normal village. Only the coalition would realistically deny it.

I plan on her next summon being much smaller, but being far more skilled/specialized than the others. Sorry if the time skip was disappointing, but it was what I thought was a good idea.

I plan on Lexa being her love interest in this world, with Clarke being a potential addition. And she will probably have one, maybe two more love interests in future worlds.

The Gwen fic will get updated later, so be ready for that.

Anyways, have a good day, see you later!
