I mean, 2 seasons is 24 episodes plus de 2 ova’s and the one coming up. 16 volumes is a lot and after the backstory is revealed, part 1 of the manga is finished and we move to part 2. And this is a slice of life/romcom. The backstory is just a nice bonus, not the focus.
