Commission: "The Line of Magnolia"
Added 2024-03-26 22:00:03 +0000 UTCHowdy! I have a commission for you. There's two versions, one with a few pics ("AI illustrated" in the title), and the rest just plain text.
This one was an interesting prompt: the commissioner gave me only three parameters: high fantasy; an element of corruption; and "something with redheads." It's definitely the most latitude I've been given on a commission before, at least one not involving an existing IB IP. (Which, by the way, we're getting two of in the next commission!)
Now, when you finish this, you might be like "OK, but what next?" My overarching idea for this was another novella length thing. But I want to keep churning stuff out, so I'm gonna put a bookmark in it for now. But if you dig it, and you want more, nag me. If you win a commission, feel free to tell me you want the next piece. If you see me going on about "I dunno what to do next" make the suggestion. Might not be terrible fodder for a live write for folks who wanted more of this kind of thing. I like to write stuff people want more of.

2024-03-30 02:31:56 +0000 UTCI feel like I'm always commenting on these fantasy stories by prefacing with I'm Not A Fantasy Guy, and then spending a couple paragraphs saying how well this fantasy story worked for me. Get ready for more of that. I admit that the first page or so... not my thing. It's very agreeable fantasy prose, but it's still fantasy prose, and my brain sort of shifts into Neutral for that stuff. But! Everything after that was hot and funny, with a nice layer of dark mystery. Some sexy unwillingly willing sex scenes, and a bitchy queen to lust over. Hard to not enjoy that, no matter the genre. This was not only a fun read, but one I'd like to see continued. BUT I'M NOT A FANTASY GUYYYYYYYYY
