2025-02-25 04:31:11 +0000 UTCI didn't get into Flyff because I was playing Silkroad instead since that's what my cousins were playing. But I remember wanting to play it because it had a much cuter art style. But as you said, playing as a girl isn't the most enjoyable esp if you do it solo.

In FF14 a guildmaster talked to me out of the blue and convinced me to join his guild, which to me is rare nowadays because most recruiters just send you an invite if they see you're still guildless. So I met his friends and his girlfriend and such. I don't remember if we even did anything after I joined, but after like a day or two I was no longer in the guild. So I checked the guild's discord server and it turned out our GM broke up with his girlfriend out of the blue, made her GM and quit the game. She was completely confused and heartbroken, so she just randomly picked someone else as GM and also left the game. The random guy kicked everyone out, took everything from the guild chest and went to another guild. That was the last time I was ever in a random guild. There are plenty of war stories to tell, but that one still cracks me up from time to time.

The game they were playing looks a lot like Conquer Online, which was a pretty easy game to learn. I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of girls played it. Hell, even I had an almost instant girlfriend in that game. Though we were kids, so not really the serious lovey dovey kind. I've played tons of MMOs (mostly Korean grindfests) from 2003 till 2012 and I don't know how things are now in 2025, but back then things were wild when girls got involved. They not only got free stuff most of the time, guys would also powerlevel them, give them higher ranks and titles in guilds almost instantly. People getting kicked out of parties to make room for a girl. I remember one time they did that to me and I immediately left the guild, because it's one thing to not have a spot for me and another when I've been in a party waiting 40 minutes for the raid to start and suddenly get kicked out when a female guild member comes online asking for a party. They PMed all kinds of nasty stuff, but some time later it turned out that the girl was actually a guy and they kicked him out. A lot of guys pretended to be a girl just to get free stuff. It was a very toxic time, man. Especially for girls. They just wanna play the game and if they outed themselves as girls, then boys will either hit on them or ask for proof. It took me a while to find a guild where boys and girls could coexist and just have a fun time playing the game. But man, I miss FlyFF! Flying around on a hoverboard was so cool back then. I was a Billposter.

If you announce you’re a girl, you also get free stuff a lot bc there’s just too many simps. There’s all sorts of drama in the guild. Like someone suddenly quits and you find out they were poached by another guild or because they fought with their supposed close friend. Dungeons were always fun tho.
