To be fair, it might have just been done in a way so as to match the manga style. Second your 8/10! A worthy addition to on of the best seasons in the genre that I can recall.

There was a gap existed between their school years and now there will be a gap between their employment statuses if Rin chose to be an actress, in addition to the extra time that they would be spent on working remotely. Both of them have realized this choice and Eiji wants to become a good match for her and her career through working in the same field, and he only decided to propose after taking root in the industry while Rin has become famous.
