Wow. Quite a bit here that I'd like to respond to, but in no particular order. I have never even really considered penis size until cancer therapy put a focus on remaining sexually healthy. My erection's pretty average and that's how I like it. I like going in balls deep and would put my testicles in as well if I could. A larger penis risks pounding on my wife's cervix and it would feel like I would be wearing her like a lollipop on a stick. None of my partners have ever even made mention. For performance anxiety I like a book called "Slow Sex" by Diana Richardson. She talks about "soft entry" where the woman feeds her partner's flaccid penis into her vagina. Lordy, that sounds so hot. I wish I could stay soft enough to experience that. Getting women to understand a man's relation to his penis... I was shy and didn't become sexually active until a month before my 30th birthday when a woman I knew left a key to her hotel room on my table. In my mind this wasn't supposed to happen. Then two days later I was showing my brother, his wife and a woman they'd brought along around Carmel, California. My sister in law booked the woman and me into the same one bed motel room. Then not too long after, a co worker's girl friend set me up with a blind hookup to check out my performance. Thankfully that was about the time I met my wife to be and she became my safe harbor. Most men would see this as every man's dream to have women plotting to get him into bed, but that is not how I saw it. This was completely opposite of how I thought sex relations should be. It was traumatizing for me, but I wasn't able to express how I actually felt until I worked with a psychologist while being treated for the cancer 42 years later. I consented to pelvic health therapy because I was not having spontaneous erections after coming off castration meds used to treat prostate cancer. My wife helped keep me sexually active while I was castrate to make up for the lack of nocturnal erections and avoid penile atrophy. Without spontaneous erections, I felt I was not having nocturnal erections to keep the erectile tissue healthy.

Your spirit and energy are a mystery to me Dr G. but I love them both!

Thanks for sharing your experience with us, Rex! Yes, sometimes a book club may sound intimidating, but as you've probably already noticed—we aim to have fun with learning. No pressure here my friend! So whether you read the chapter or not, my hope is that you walk away with some knowledge gems or just a belly laugh—hopefully both. 😜

I agree with all Gary has said, I'm not a reader never have been. I have a low comprehension level so I have to reread 3-4 times to understand. A book club did not interest me, but the visuals with the pelvic floor model you had were so helpful. The musculature, dorsal nerve, suspensory ligament and why an internal exam or treatment maybe necessary. All areas of pain we can pin point at my next doctors appointment. Almost talked myself out of watching this replay, glad I didn't. I got more than I could have hoped for. Nothing serves us better the experiences, with your teaching you must have had a penis in another life Doctor Susie G. :) I think I like the book club! Thanks, Rex

Yay! I’m so happy to hear that, Ron! I’m constantly in awe of this community we’ve built together—we’ve got a brave bunch here, showing up and being real...together. 🙂

It truly was amazing...

It was excellent. I'm 72 and still learning stuff! Like he said in the intro of the book, back in the day the problem was getting any kind of information at all. Now with the internet, people are overwhelmed with information, most of it with an agenda or just plain wrong. It is wonderful to have a trusted source of legit information. Great job Doc.
