The ‘Doc for Your Cock’—My Journey into Men’s Pelvic Floor Therapy

How did I become the ‘Doc for your cock’? 🤔 My journey into men’s pelvic health & the barriers they face. Watch & weigh in!

A pelvi-rrific Patreon member recently asked how I got into men’s pelvic floor therapy. In this video, I share my journey and the challenges many men face when seeking pelvic floor therapy in a female-centric profession.

Just the other day, I received an email from a colleague in another state warning me about a gentleman who had been calling multiple pelvic therapy clinics, acting “inappropriate and unstable.” He even shared with some therapists the type of pornography he masturbates to. Understandably, these therapists were disturbed and unsettled by his behavior—so much so that they reported him to the police and reached out to me out of concern in case he tried to contact my practice.

Unfortunately, behavior like this creates even more barriers for men who are genuinely and desperately seeking pelvic health care.

Have a listen to this video and let me know what you think. Let’s keep the conversation going in the comments below.

I appreciate your thoughtful comment, Jared. Yes, there are individuals who will cross boundaries, and unfortunately, that makes it harder for men who genuinely need pelvic health care to access it. In my practice, we have everyone read and sign a therapeutic relationship agreement. If inappropriate behavior happens during a session, I name it and give the person an opportunity to unpack the intention behind their behavior. If it was an honest mistake or misunderstood, we move on. If the behavior is repeated, care is terminated—though most people weed themselves out once their behavior is called out.

It's unfortunate that there are men who try and use this profession to satisfy their own medfet kink. I have recently found a doctor that will see me, after being turned down by several simply for being a male. Thank you for what you do. I'm sure you've had to deal with people coming to you for things other than help. How have you dealt with these situations? Obviously there are men who are very clear with what they want (the email you recieved) but how do you deal with subtleties that straddle the line? I feel it would be very difficult as a doctor so passionate about your work to turn men away unless you are very certain they are there for ulterior motives.

I simply agree with all you guys, Douglas, Carson, Guy, octavias and Michael all make great points. I've spent the last 25 years with fluctuating Pain , that's nearly half my life and some times crippling pain. I have been poked, prodded, needled, shocked, injected, cut back open over and over again, lost my job and my first wife. So, to find a place such as this is very special to me. I think I can speak for all of us here when I say. Thank You Doctor Susie Gronski, for your candor breaks the ice and gives us the warmth we long for. And it takes a little lady with some big kahuna's to call herself the Cock Doc.

Well, I want my health , and being groped by male doctors is NOT healthy! Then, female providers don’t want your toxicity around! So there are risks to female providers. That needs to be isolated. Can’t provide care for deviant behaviors, thats an entirely different medical provider.

Quite a bit to unwind here. As you say, you are dealing with both the cultural and social attitudes and inhibitions. For men like me, being able to get past our inhibitions is challenging personal growth. The sexual ambiguity is a huge one. I admire men who can take an academic approach. You know, though, that this is true with male providers as well. Given the number of men who've told me they prefer female providers, maybe even more so. I grew up with male providers being assisted by female nurses/assistants, but if someone is touching the intimate areas of my body I do prefer female providers.
