Yes, it sure is! Sadly, I haven't heard from Dr. Prause regarding the invitation for a livestream interview.

It just dawned on me that Dr. Prause's work is relevant to the question on chasing orgasms as gold standard.

Thank you for opening up and sharing all this with us. I can feel how much you’ve carried and how isolating that must be. I’m so sorry that so many of your experiences with health care have left you feeling shamed, ignored, or even punished for speaking your truth. It means a lot to hear that this community space feels different for you. I’m glad the RN at your follow-up offered a moment of compassionate care and reminded you that you get to choose what feels right for you and your body. And I’m humbled that my work is helping you feel like there’s a way forward, with pleasure, not just pain. You’re not alone in this. We're here for you.

Hey Doc. wasn't sure where to post this sense I can't join the up coming live event but have some strong feelings I needed to share. Because of how I was raised, I have reservations talking about sex or discussing my genitals, sexual experiences, or preferences. Health care professionals over the past 29 years have shamed me for even asking. Why a doctor who has studied the human body can't even try to understand pain in an area that should have pleasure is beyond me. Medical issues seem to be a get 'em in, get 'em out, go home deal—as if they are inoculating cattle, not ever really knowing the person or trying to. Since COVID and heart failure, my cardiologist got pissed at me because I wanted to leave the hospital against his wishes, and I did because I felt I was going to die and wanted to die at home around family, not around a bunch of strangers. The doctor's pride wouldn't allow him to understand; he took it personally and stopped treating me after 23 years. Health care, what? My next cardiology appointment, I had an RN for a follow-up. She sensed my distress right away and hugged me, telling me I didn't have to see a male doctor—I could choose a female, RN, NP, or PA for my health care needs. She told me to write down what I wanted to say because my words never come out right talking, and I always seem to be misunderstood. Most women try to listen with understanding, with compassion, and with passion, but the most important part is the love to do what they can for others by exposing a bit of themselves for all to see without shame and with the goal of education. Dr. Susie has that gift she shares daily, and I for one love her for sharing and putting her body, mind, and soul out there to help me overcome the trauma and drama to get on with my life. I've been sitting in a stagnant pool for far too long of my guilt for wanting and needing pleasure in my body, mind, and soul. After two wives, I didn't think I would ever find love or pleasure again or even be worthy of it. Doc, you've given me hope for a future I've not looked forward to for many years. Daily, I look for your lifeline to pull me up this mountain of pelvic floor dysfunction and had no idea I'd be learning about self-pleasure along the way. Thank you!
