Touch of any mind should NEVER be painful. Touch needs to feel safe and the type of touch/manual therapy should be adjusted to help person's body and mind feel relaxed without setting off the protective alarm bells.

Yes, a technique to explore at home with a partner, especially if adding erotic or arousal elements. A pelvic health therapist might perform manual therapy around the anus, perineum, and glutes but their technique may vary. Of course, treatment is always collaborative and ongoing consent for any treatment is non-negotiable.

I got nothing like that from my PFPT when my anal pain was unbearable, she dipped a finger tip and stretched the anal sphincter. Very painful when having spasms. What you did looked more relaxing. Seams like my therapist always want to dig deep even when it hurts my anus or perineum. Thanks Doc. great video, I think I want that treatment. Only thing is any touch on the perineum font or back causes erections and usually ejaculation. Its such a mess getting of the table.

This is just something to do, at home correct? Surely this isn't something my PFT may have to do, at any point... right?
