omg no way!!! that's actually so adorable 🥹 I have not seen the vampire diaries, surprisingly- but I do know who Paul Wesley is so that is such a fun tidbit!! 🩶

I agree with you for sure- it did seem quite out of character for him, no matter how heart broken he was, I just feel like simon wouldn't endanger a mundane ever, at least knowingly! but like you said, at least he didn't kill her! you and me both when it comes to Malec, there's something about them that just sells it 🤣 Will is brilliant!! he was able to give such a creepy vibe and such a nice/sweet vibe basically back to back, it gave me whiplash. just incredibly well done on his part! this has me dying, you're so right. I dismissed it so fast when he asked her out, as if the show didn't have us trying to believe Jace and clary were siblings for however many episodes lmao 🤣🩶

I really enjoyed this episode as well! I feel like what got to see growth in Alec and Magnus specifically. Magnus with opening up to Alec about something he maybe didn't want to, and Alec not just taking Magnus at face value and letting him know that he's a safe space for Magnus to talk about his feelings and issues in general! okay, this makes sense! I was kind of thinking that it was the fake Sebastian as well, but wasn't sure if there was something I missed or anything!! woohoo for points!! 🤣🩶

Fun fact!! This is how Alberto (Simon) met Tessa (the actress of Heidi)! They are now engaged🥹🥹 also the next episode, im not sure if you’ve seen the vampire diaries or any of his other works, Paul Wesley is the director! I believe it was his first time directing outside of TVD and was a fun crossover for those like me who have seen both haha

The thing that bothers me most in this episode is Simon. I know he's hurting and that he probably just wants to forget and get drunk but he had only one shot before he arrived at the bleeder den, he wasn't drunk yet. So when he heard that they were feeding on people addicted to vampire venom he should've immediately go away. First, he talked to Izzy who told him she's addicted. And second, he grew up with mom who was battling her addiction to alcohol. This just seems so out of character for Simon. At least it was all resolved (sort of) quickly and he didn't actually kill the girl. And the highlight was Malec of course. There's not enough words to describe the feelings I have anytime they are on screen :D I wonder what it is about those two that works so well for me. As for the rest, I'm glad Simon worked it out with Clary and that she didn't push him... and that she didn't immediately run after Jace. Also Jonathan, you ugly boy... I don't like Sebastian/Jonathan but it is fun to watch him. Will Tudor plays him so well, he can be charming one moment (seriously, if you didn't know that he kidnapped and then killed Sebastian or that it was him who lead Luke to Valentine, his behavior was perfect) and then completely deranged another one. Poor real Sebastian though. As it was already said in another comment, our group never met him, Izzy was saved by Jonathan. Ah and the reason why I was so amused in previous episode when you first thought that maybe Sebastian is Clary's brother but then immediately dismissed it when he asked her out to dinner, was because as if THAT would be any issue in this show. Sometimes I think that the writer has a thing for incest.

This whole episode was great to me, the Simon grieving plot, Magnus's trauma haunting him, definitely one of my favorite out of all of season 2. I probably only have 2 season 2 episodes that rank over this and you have not watched them yet. I'm glad that while Clary and Simon's fight didn't last long, its not like everything is all okay again. I'm glad they ended that with Simon saying he needed some more time. Magnus opening up to Alec after pushing him away from his worries several times this episode was heartbreaking, that moment was so beautiful. Also I'm pretty sure the Sebastian we saw save Izzy was the fake one, Don't think we saw the real him till we saw him in the closet this episode. You should definitely get a point for guessing that it was clary's brother and that he was evil.
